When someone tells you that you don’t understand a topic, then you should ask “Why?” or “What?” to make sure you learn what you had wrong. Instead you just keep going, because you think you know better anyway. You might be reading the posts, but instead of thinking about them, you’re just reacting to them.
There is zero point in wasting time on one-sided discussions, when one side clearly lacks any higher understanding of the topic and does not show any signs of realizing said lack of understanding.
Literally because they can’t just undock, warp to a belt, start mining and go afk anymore. Instead they have to put effort into it, which is nothing they actually desire. They’re unhappy, because they can’t get that false sense of achievement from doing nothing anymore.
If you think that’s not a thing, then look up idle games. In those you literally do nothing, but once in a while you have to check in to get rewarded. That’s mining in a nutshell.
I was one of those kids that always annoyed some adults because I would ask why. What did I want to know by asking why. I wanted to know if they knew what they were talking about, if they really knew or just learned it parrot fashion.
Re: The part I bolded of your quote. Feeling superior isn’t healthy you’re more likely to develop a closed mind. I also noticed it’s not the first time you’ve said such things I’m starting to think you really believe it.
Asking why wasn’t about being superior it was about checking the quality of the information being given. I didn’t want just to know it works, I wanted to know how it works.
I never consider myself superior and am quite willing to update my views if necessary. As far as I’m concerned nobody is superior, just different.
Edit;
With the internet, why is kind of redundant as you can easily just look it up. Period I was referring to was from the 60’s to around mid 70’s.
I don’t feel specifically superior about anything. You try to twist this into something it isn’t.
Most people in this thread are superior to her in that regard, including myself and you probably as well. OP’s clueless and doesn’t know what she’s talking about. That doesn’t bother you at all, though. Instead it bothers you when someone points out the utter cluelessness of someone thinking he knows what he’s talking about. What are you, US-American?
So you completely ignore the fact that she has no idea what she is talking about and instead talk down on me for telling her the truth. It is the truth. You don’t touch on that at all. You just don’t like me telling her the truth. Instead you make up this ■■■■■■■■ that most likely can attributed to yourself far more than me.
If you don’t like someone telling someone else the obvious, factual truth, then the problem isn’t the person telling the truth. The problem also isn’t how the person is telling the truth. The problem are the people who believe others shouldn’t tell the truth, especially when it’s not convinient for someone.
Now go address the actual issue, which is how utterly clueless the OP is,
and stop trying to make this about me, which it clearly isn’t.
Ok. Now… you just declared that I was wrong. Can you not do that?
Ok. How does less supply of minerals affect miners’ ability to AFK? They can still AFK, they just get less minerals, which you believe will improve their isk/h. Now. they have free improved isk/h. Why are they whining???
It really boils down to reading something and assuming the word “reduction” or “removal” is a negative without thinking fully about how the stated change is actually going to work.
In short, seeing the elephants trunk and assuming its a snake.
If it snakes up your ass and sucks your innards out it’s still a bad thing.
However, I take your general point. Probably time to stop speculating now, keep preparing where possible and then get ready to crunch some numbers once we all have a better idea after next release.
I have indeed placed some bets. The biggest concern tho is not so much whether they pay dividends, it’s whether CCP will wait long enough for me to find out, either way.
Will CCP let redistribution “work” long enough before they start fiddling with it again, via Stage 2? And how long is “long enough” is a matter of speculation anyway.
