In a Retribution with Conflagrant Lenses it was also piece of cake, biggest restriction was cargo. Should have searched for and tried Huntmaster sites, but that’s a bit a journey from Metropolis…
At the beginning I was sceptical, but in the end it was lucrative and a nice fitting lesson. There should have been more event sites and less Emerging Conduit sites though, got several keys left, tired of roaming for sites even in remote areas.

Going from 150 to 300 m³ , with very light ammos, was really nice.
I tried metropolis, but I guess too many people were running there, I found very little sites.
I made last runs in derelik, running as fast as possible - while still scanning and doing deds. In the last run took me 130 min to do 12 sites, + ded3, +ded2, +drone sites …
Run for yesterday was 120 min to run 12 sites, while also talking on discord, managing activities on alts, etc.
If I look at what I actually did last it was more like 6 sites per hour, so like 40M/h from OPE only.
In the end I was matched against many people, worm, T2 amarr, etc and I won all the contests (that means I got the loot at the end) - that was in any of the three fits (almost did not used double rep enyo). Important to note is that the loot was attributed based on the MOST DPS not the last hit (I killed some rats while the people left after seeing me coming and did not get the ownership if the rat was already damaged enough). Of course OH the guns every time there was somebody else.
No, I found much more capsules than sites. I even had two capsules at the same spot. But probably folks are just more adept at F1-ing than DScanning
Yes, Derelik was easier, but also there I was roaming a while to find sites. Probably because of a bad time zone. Most sites I got in Metropolis though, just because I did my daily business there anyway.
My notion: The players were quite social, if the site was occupied, I never witnessed a quarrel or “match”. So it also was no problem for me to leave already occupied sites.
I got several “leave my site please” followed by “■■■■ you” when I snatch the site. Also russian I guess words.
I mean I could go from 6min to warp site+ loot commander if empty to 3 minutes so it was interesting
It was a nice event overall. Not bad rng rewards with the opportunity to improve some PVE and PVP skills. Well, I improved my skills to effectively use D-Scans. Also, I like The Hunt event because it allows to built different fits which can be used just fine. It has its secrets also.
I don’t actively farmed nor even grinded the event sites, just tried to do them while switching my activity modes in hi-sec. Here’s the loot from around 30 sites.
Nice haul from 30 sites, I’m sure the Faction standing hit was pretty large.
I agree, having to D-Scan for the Egg key was definitely a new approach for these events, not to mention a nice little challenge as well as providing the opportunity to learn and or get reacquainted with using D-Scan to find targets.
I only scanned down 2 Eggs and ran 2 sites. Or I should say I attempted to run 2 sites. On the first day in the first site I entered, my bling fit Shield Buffer Interceptor was stopped dead in it’s tracks by the first wave of NPC’s.
I spent the next couple days rethinking on how to do these sites and then completed the second site in a Tech 1 Destroyer fit with Tech 2 modules running a Medium Ancillary Shield Booster. Needless to say my loot haul was very small and coupled with an expensive loss on my first attempt, I decided to withdraw from this event.
The main issue I have with this event was the high amount of negative standing hits incurred from it. In the past I had managed to gain low positive standings with Guristas Pirates from running the Level 3 Guristas Epic Arc, those encounters with the two Eggs coupled with the multiple waves of NPC’s in the two sites I entered pushed me back into negative standings once again.
So now I have to run the Level 3 Guristas Epic Arc again…
Having to D-Scan for the Egg Key was one of my favorite part in this event. At the end of this event I managed to D-Scan the pods during 30-40 sec as soon I noticed them.
About the fit, I choosed the Hawk because it has good rocked range and anti-Guristas default resistances. I decided to rely on its Rage rockets range. Soon I realised, I need some Capacitor resistance and Em resistance to encounter the Caracal’s EM Alpha. After few attempts I changed it to this fit, as relatively cheap:

The good about this fit, it can use the Javelin rockets to pod Eggs before they’ll warp out, and it can fit Assault Damage Control II to encounter gankers while carrying half a billion loot in case. And yeah, standing penalty towards Guristas was nasty.

Was sad I never got even a 2nd gecko BPC, but reasonably happy with the OPEs and X-type Mordus BCSes and such. Wish I’d gotten more Guristas skins, I ended up buying some more of the Corax/Condor/Kestrel ones for my new frigate/DD alts to use on their most flown ships besides Jackdaws these days.
Yeah, I had a hard time finding capsules the first day or so but I was kinda near the Amarr/Jita pipe at the time. Branched out a bit more after that, went into my usual event site hunting grounds far away from trade hubs and trade routes and all…
Ended up finding about 50 pods for 35 sites, so had 15 keys leftover at the end to keep as souvenirs.
And the most I ever found at once was… there were 2 at one end of a system and 1 at the other end of a system, and by the time I got on grid with 'em, the 2 groups had met and I found all 3 at a random moon. They were all spaced out, like 15 to 25km apart. Sent my 3 coraxes to go pop 'em all nearly simultaneously. ;D
Every boss I killed in the regular site in HS had either 1 or 2 OPEs, so it wasn’t always 1 to 1.
Incidentally, I got 21st and 22nd tier OPEs in HS, they weren’t limited to LS (someone else seemed to suggest they were upthread). None above that for me, but in the early days of this thread, I think someone said 23rd or 24th (is there a 24th? damn, can’t remember now) in a regular site in HS.
On the last weekend of the event, one night I tried for 2 hours and only found 2 sites… so… 120 minutes to run 2 sites, probably the worst session of the entire event for me.
But then the next day I ran for 3 hours and hit 10 sites. That was fun.
It was very hit or miss. i had soe sessions where i got back to back drops and other sessions where I just didin’t get crap.
Got 600mil in overseers effects alone(highest one I got was 14 maybe?) so that’s straight up isk once I get it shipped into i sec. 3 Gecko BPC+Key compontents to make them, 2x 5% valdemar implants, a buckload of skins, a bunch of green faction loot including a couple of the expensive balistic control systems. I never did see any of the huntmaster ones.
So all in all I think I got roughly 2.5bil worth of stuff not counting the petty bounties. I was running the event pretty much every day but sometimes went for hours without finding a pod or site. Othertimes there would be two per system. Very random. Got a couple pvp kills while jumping my loops. Probably not the most efficient isk /h but I enjoyed it and was nice break from exploring. The rewards could have maybe been a bit more consistant.
