That’s not how the term is used in EVE, that is how it is used in general gaming / other MMOs. I have already called your attention to this fact multiple times. You are just too stubborn.

I think his stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt to the word ‘gank’ could be the cause of similar adaptation issues with the act ‘gank’.

Not true.
Ganks in null are talked about frequently. Who hasn’t ganked a Roqual ? I mean yeah you could drop a Titan on it but Ganking with a fleet of BS is so much more fun.
Usually we call that a ‘drop’.
I.e. “Have you seem that group that dropped on a Rorqual last night?”
Calling it a gank would be confusing as this suggests it took place in HS, where Rorquals are not allowed.

If 1982 is indicative of your age you’re not that much older than I am.
The only reason I haven’t played EVE since the start is that I found other games first.
1984 was taken by my alt .
And if you think that’s a reference to Age come on man read a book 
I’ve read the book 1984, but not 1982 and neither do I know your alt names so I had little reason to expect it to be a book reference.

One of the most common tactics of contrarians is ‘argument ad dictionarium’…where they’ll waste spend an entire thread nit picking the exact meaning of a word…and its all really a form of straw man and often a last resort when they can’t ‘win’ an argument any other way.

Jeez, You do know that 1982 had a lot of great films released. I wouldnt even know where to begin guessing.
I couldnt even begin to tell you what my favorite film was that year…there are too many.
The Dark Crystal comes to mind. That was the greatest muppet film ever.

A little off topic I know but whoever classified that movie as suitable for children to watch most likely invested lots of money into medical facilities that provided therepy of teen agers in the 1990’s.
Don’t even get me started on return to Oz or never ending story !

Well…no…you aren’t back on topic, because the original topic was the hypocrisy of miners mining the very ore that makes the ships that gank them. Given that 90% of the ships in EVE are combat ships…every miner is mining the ore for PvP.
Miners are not mining fluffy bunnies in space. There are mining ore and gas. The very materials that make the very ships that do the pew pew. Ganking is thus karma !
Looking through the list I’ve only seen Conan the Barbarian and Koyaanisqatsi, but I don’t watch that many movies. While interesting I doubt either would be anyone’s favourite.
So you want them to stop making ships and guns ?
