Film is stupid, tv series a lot better. Medium as a movie have to be a lot shorter, the characters are build differently, the plot too. No wonder that movies inspired by games fail, because games are played differently and look more like tv series.

Also these corporate talk and praises are stupid, every naive observer from outside could believe it but not we players internally. That is like a diplomatic talk. Also good notice about who owns who now.

Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, the CEO of CCP, also had kind words for his new corporate masters.

A film about EVE Online? Their only hope is to make it a New Eden story -and a good one so people watches it for being a nice film with a nice story. Being based on EVE Online should be completely secondary to the core of being a good SF flick telling a good story. But also probably a series would allow to interwine more aspects from the game without it becoming a string of fanservice.
