Was Deep Blue with the Pentagon?
https://bit.ly/31bgIDN

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ “Knock, Knock. Who’s There?” _ _ _ p.97
_ _ _ In one sense, Dominic’s article was hilarious. “The Spectator”
appeared to be a magazine that took itself seriously, but the article
seemed to me to be pretty groundless. The subtitle inside the mag-
azine read “Dominic Lawson investigates the Deep Thought
project, and discovers that the Pentagon is harnessing chess to the
arms race”. okay, I did not know–and I still do not know–
whether the Pentagon was harnessing chess to the arms race. But I
do know that Deep Thought was not started because someone in
the Pentagon wanted it done.
_ _ _ Once I started reading the article, factual errors kept on pop-
ping up, and that was just for the parts that I knew for sure were
wrong. One section of the article read, “The Deep Thought project,
and other computer chess development at Carnegie-Mellon, have
been paid in their entirety by DARPA, the Pentagon’s Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency”. So, the money we paid out of
our student pockets belonged to DARPA as well!
_ _ _ Then I read what was the most amusing part of the article. “I
asked Lieutenant Colonel Robert Simpson, DARPA’s head of fund-
ing for the expert systems research–which includes the Deep Thought
project–to give me one clear military application of Deep
Thought.” First, Deep Thought was not an “expert system”, which
means something quite specific in the research field of Artificial
Intelligence. Several members of the team would probably consid-
er it an insult to call Deep Thought an expert system. In fact, at
least two members of the team had used the word ■■■■■■■■ to
describe “expert systems”, or for that matter, Artificial Intelligence.
Second, the Deep Thought research was supported in part by the
VLSI project, and none of the money came from the DARPA fund-
inf for expert systems research. Lieutenant Colonel Robert
Simpson had to my knowledge never received a single scrap of
paper describing the Deep Thought project.
_ _ _ Just imagine the position that this Lieutenant Colonel was
placed in. A reporter calls you up and asks you about a project that
you know nothing about. You have to say something. Well,
Lieutenant Colonel Robert Simpson had a quick mind.
_ _ _ " ‘Navigation in a battlefield situation.’ he replied promptly. ‘A
machine like this, programmed with knowledge of the terrain a
pilot is flying through, can digitize all the various route choices,
explore them, and choose the optimum route. That is exactly what
Deep Thought is doing.’ " Interesting, I hadn’t thought that Mr.
Kasparov would make a nice cruise missile.

Seriously… WTF is wrong with my life lately? Mi computer monitor just broke after the silliest, slightest bang against a wall. 3/4 of the scren surface are unusable but the hit didn’t even scratch the plastic frame! :scream:

So now i’ve got issues with AC and my computer is unusable until I get a new screen. NOT cool, Life! NOT cool!

And now I’m off to bed. Nighties lovelies!

Monitors can break after a while , I had one that worked for over 17 or 18 years.
I have one home which someone left near my storage place, which, when I tested it, worked.
I used it to make videos of the 12,000 in 1 game system I got.

The point of the mission is to prove that rotors will work for flight on a planet with a different atmosphere to earth. A balloon would get ripped up and destroyed in a sandstorm or even touching a sharp rock would do it.

@Josh Boucher - Understood, it would work with rotors, and, to me, it’s not much if, but , how, when, and with what , and in which conditions, as, flights systems detects flying conditions to work, and, that data from flight sensors is used to update the flying system.

  • The same for 1905 or 1920 Patents for airplane sold to airplane companies as client back then.

  • Scientific proof are always good for certainty ratio, even if proven at 200% with more details as to what works better where, and what is not working as good somewhere else, or, in different conditions, with different results.

    1. Additionally, Use of Turn Ons and Turn Offs is not new to me, and just because the a balloon would get ripped up and destroyed in a sandstorm or even touching a sharp rock, doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work.
  • The point is, both system work, both system would work on Mars.

  • Just because someone attacked my work in economic boycott and try to marginalize me doesn’t mean that I don’t use it in courts against them, and that they are not using it against me to attack me and in acts of war against me.

  • In fact, the ripping up and destruction data would be used , because, if done in war, we would need the scientific data to formulate plans of defence, and , make the system more efficient.

  • The benefit of that system compared to the other is that it is easier to hover, although that it may be harder to control the speed of movement.
It may take less energy, once the problem is solved.
2nly, those system were operational here on earth back in the 1800s or 1700s, before rotors or planes.

  • Although the system would be harder to move around, it would be hard to find which condition would make the device lighter than the atmosphere, since, the atmosphere is lighter itself, although, since our instrument weight are more light than before, it is feasible on the planet.

  • It can be used for high altitude systems, with navigation sensors to prevent storm from being able to take control over the device, amongst other potential hackers trying to use it for war and throw it around like a weapon, regardless of how they would steal or forfeit the intellectual property , which won’t be possible to enforce there.

45 minutes ago (edited)
There are also risk of it malfunctioning otherwise, due to the extreme cold, and, not caused by a sandstorm , since the device can be kept out of range of rocks, and not be used for lower relative altitude flights.

Joseph-Michel Montgolfier (26 August 1740 – 26 June 1810) and Jacques-Étienne Montgolfier (6 January 1745 – 2 August 1799) were paper manufacturers from Annonay, in Ardèche, France best known as inventors of the Montgolfière-style hot air balloon, globe aérostatique.

  • Overall, Mars is cold—its average global temperature is around -80 degrees Fahrenheit—and has a much thinner atmosphere than Earth. Because it has about a sixth of the pressure of Earth’s atmosphere, the planet doesn’t retain heat very long, causing temperatures to drop quickly. ~Jan 5, 2018

  • In order to fly balloons at Mars, the balloons must be made of very lightweight material. However, a number of balloon robots, or aerobots, have been proposed for Mars. … During the day, the balloon would be heated by the sun and rise to some altitude above the Martian surface. ~ Jun 14, 2012

@Josh Boucher - I don’t get funding for this, I would have to pay for it myself because I won’t be associated with them.

However, I do pay for it myself.

I can’t rely on them due to economic boycott among other reasons.
Some more treacherous than other.

Is there human remains on the moon?

Moon burial

Eugene Shoemaker, a portion of whose cremated remains were flown to the Moon by NASA. Shoemaker’s former colleague Carolyn Porco, a University of Arizona professor, proposed and produced the tribute of having Shoemaker’s ashes launched aboard the NASA’s Lunar Prospector spacecraft.

The system and modules on the moon are not safe from impact.

It would be more complex to put protection around than to save them underground, with earthquake integrated adaptation systems, and other Act of God prevention or protection systems.
(The reason it would be more complex to something around than put them underground is that the thing around would also be subject to impact and require impact force strength or adaptation to be able to prevent the internal damage.)

The underground tunnels can be used to put storage and other habitation for scientists to work.

The gravity is better than on the ISS, although the distance is much greater.

It can also provide protection against local infection on earth.

Celestis Luna missions also permit – for the first time in human history – off Earth storage for DNA and digital data archives. All missions are conducted in strict adherence to international and national law, are easy to arrange, and provide a performance guarantee.

I don’t think they have online storage on the moon.
There are no data retrieval system.
Those electronic data systems are offline electronic data stored in digital format storage.

Lunar probes and space probes don’t offer online storage services.
They only have data for the missions.

Being Buried on the Moon Now Costs About the Same as an Average Funeral

I don’t think they bury very deep.

It’s not used for medical reason, and, it’s still easier to dispose of systems with previous viral infection which don’t propagate without a living cell on earth, even if cremated, or, the cremation is filtered.

Eigenvalue.

Eigenvalues are a special set of scalars associated with a linear system of equations (i.e., a matrix equation) that are sometimes also known as characteristic roots, characteristic values (Hoffman and Kunze 1971), proper values, or latent roots (Marcus and Minc 1988, p. 144).

The determination of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a system is extremely important in physics and engineering, where it is equivalent to matrix diagonalization and arises in such common applications as stability analysis, the physics of rotating bodies, and small oscillations of vibrating systems, to name only a few. Each eigenvalue is paired with a corresponding so-called eigenvector (or, in general, a corresponding right eigenvector and a corresponding left eigenvector; there is no analogous distinction between left and right for eigenvalues).

The decomposition of a square matrix A into eigenvalues and eigenvectors is known in this work as eigen decomposition, and the fact that this decomposition is always possible as long as the matrix consisting of the eigenvectors of A is square is known as the eigen decomposition theorem.

The Lanczos algorithm is an algorithm for computing the eigenvalues and eigenvectors for large symmetric sparse matrices.

Let A be a linear transformation represented by a matrix A. If there is a vector X in R^n!=0 such that

AX=lambdaX 59x15 (1)

for some scalar lambda, then lambda is called the eigenvalue of A with corresponding (right) eigenvector X.

Real and Complex Analysis

Front Cover

Walter Rudin, WALTER AUTOR RUDIN

McGraw-Hill Education, 1987 - Mathematics - 416 pages

2 Reviews

This is an advanced text for the one- or two-semester course in analysis taught primarily to math, science, computer science, and electrical engineering majors at the junior, senior or graduate level. The basic techniques and theorems of analysis are presented in such a way that the intimate connections between its various branches are strongly emphasized. The traditionally separate subjects of ‘real analysis’ and ‘complex analysis’ are thus united in one volume. Some of the basic ideas from functional analysis are also included. This is the only book to take this unique approach. The third edition includes a new chapter on differentiation. Proofs of theorems presented in the book are concise and complete and many challenging exercises appear at the end of each chapter. The book is arranged so that each chapter builds upon the other, giving students a gradual understanding of the subject.

This text is part of the Walter Rudin Student Series in Advanced Mathematics.

Maybe u could hit the monitor from the other side, so it could reattach what it unattached, and then it will be repaired.
But would be good to have a spare monitor to use.
Maybe order new one, and then try rebanging old one. Then if it works u could have two monitors and use dual monitor setup or return the new monitor even without unpacking, getting cash back. :money_mouth_face:

ChipTest was a 1985 chess playing computer built by Feng-hsiung Hsu, Thomas Anantharaman and Murray Campbell at Carnegie Mellon University. It is the predecessor of Deep Thought which in turn evolved into Deep Blue.

When I was 18 years old.
I had a doctor named Hsu who died in around 2001.

(In 1987, …)
The new version had eliminated ChipTest’s bugs and was ten times faster, searching 500,000 moves per second and running on a Sun-4 workstation. ChipTest-M won the North American Computer Chess Championship in 1987 with a 4–0 sweep.

Deep Thought 0.01 was created in May 1988 and the version 0.02 in November the same year.

This new version had two customized VLSI chess processors and it was able to search 720,000 moves per second. With the “0.02” dropped from its name, Deep Thought won the World Computer Chess Championship with a perfect 5–0 score in 1989.

Yes, but, they also do worst than suggesting that.
In fact, they are the same guys who try to justify to marginalize and try to make themselves look good to society by asking to give charity, while those they interfere against are denied justice.

That is why it is a duty to expose them, so as to do the good to society, which they try to coerce their target into being, and try to discredit them, and create the same false offer for programming for them as their corporation systems offers.

I have never for once done anything like that, and would rather be enemy against unfair systems like that. I certainly would not subject my family or wife to it.
It is how their courts work though.
That is against the law in my book.
They’re hypocrites.

Hypocrisy

Description

Hypocrisy is the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character traits or inclinations, especially with respect to religious and moral beliefs; hence, in a general sense, hypocrisy may involve dissimulation, pretense, or a sham. Wikipedia

In other words, the guy making the claim, as for other slanderers, try to credit themselves, while, omitting damage to others, and try to use unfairness as cover.

especially with respect to religious and moral beliefs;

I certainly won’t have my family with them due to my name.
I also have to get another name, which will more than double their punishment due to it.
It’s the exact same mental problems .

In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one’s own expressed moral rules and principles.

In other words, he says that, someone is suggesting him bad things, however, he goes to the courts, and makes the same bad suggestions to them, about them, and to the courts.
He may even cause them to do so in the first place, and, on top of that, tries to discredit them for $25 million, which he may even have set them up to earn, so that he could embezzle it from them with false claims like this, supported by parties which are going to try to hide the fact, if the army doesn’t have to sort out the mess for them, due to the hypocrisy.

I could already tell even just by looking at the name.
They did the same thing to me in 2012, and it’s going to be for life, and there’s nothing they can do about it.
The army already found out.

Those people are not in lockdown, in fact, they pay to keep me out of work, so I have to go work in other countries due to discrimination in acts of war.

They even lie anyone would pay during the COVID-19, but, obviously not.
In fact, they wouldn’t even pay during World War 3 if their life depended on it.
The only way to get money from them is either by spoils of war or by seizure and forfeiture.
They also pay terrorists before.

They then try to cover by forging false evidence while omitting facts, related to it, and correlated, including by causation, to forfeit evidence about their actions, and seek support to attack, like if the army didn’t know that’s what they tried to do, while they already stopped them more than 3 times.

They then try to cover up by creating false scandal, and then try to act like if they were not liable.
They incite hatred, and interfere against theft and lie about making false report of crimes.

Then, after the Statute of Limitation is over, they lie there was no application against them, and they can’t sue them or charge them, although it’s treason because they already know and deliberately caused the delay, and the military intelligence knew it in 1988.

It seems the courts also take applications of false reports of crimes and wrongs, when they refuse to accept real reports and charges and application for litigation to cause war, and omit facts, and forfeit evidence and cause deaths.

My cousin had those 4. Ball Lightning going down the drain of the shower he was in, as they came in from an opened window in the washroom.
The lightning hit in the middle of the road and ball lightning spread from it in different directions from the point of impact, which, I saw from the large window in the living room, just at a few degrees to the right of the TV, and the ball lightning spreading in all directions and some coming straight for our house, around 50 to 100 feet away from there.
That was in the 1980s.

In smaller cities the prices are lower fortunately, but people have to ride even 50 km to work. I spend 1 hour each day to get to work and back…
