Same here.
Now, it could help people with certain injuries or other debilitating health issues ( when it works ) and that could be a good thing in the field of Medicine, but other than that I think it’s as dangerous as AI.

Back when NeuraLink was introduced, there were two kinds of people in the room before the Press: those who knew nothing and talked a lot, and those who actually knew and didn’t talk at all.
I bet double or nothing that the “trials” are just about implanting the hardware and proving it isn’t worse than other transcranial implants from a physical and health point of view. As for actually wiring the thing and do anything, I wouldn’t hold my breath on it, specially given Musk’s track record of Ponzi schemes.

Wouldn’t surprise me. We’re on a need-to-know basis and looks like we don’t need to know much at all.
I don’t know about his ponzi schemes but he’s convinced NASA that his Starship will go to the moon and land by 2024… It hasn’t had a successful launch to orbit yet but he’s talking about going to Mars

An entirely different angle this time, although somewhat related to those other hominidae called orangutans I posted about a while ago in this thread.
To this day this is still my favorite, gaming related commercial ever to have hit the media, a powerful message that may resonate with the potential customer (yes, I did buy the thing 
). Some took offense to it, and it was banned from tv in the UK soon after release. It went on to gain prizes, at Cannes, and even in the UK after it was banned.
Also, it’s older than EvE…
