This company makes robots that identifies and sorts waste, so they perform recycling and reuse on behalf of humans.

/3 … 00:08 …
…because it impacts the long term
sustainability of our planet for
our grandchildren onward.
Every year, people are producing over 800,000 tons of waste.
46% of that waste is disposed unsustainably where it could have been recycled or reused.

/4 … 00:11 …
In the US, waste generation numbers
are three times the global average, but, only
35% of that garbage is actually being reused.
Germany reused rate is almost 70%.
AMP Robotics reduces waste sorting costs by over 70%.

If the cat has 9 lives and is alive and is dead at the same,
that means that the cat died 8 times or less.

I had the Martini Rosso today with Tonic Water and lime, and it was good.
I also have Ice in the freezer, but I will buy a second tray with a cover to put the other Ice tray on top.

One tray fits in the drink container, and there is not enough ice to make a second drink if the ice is melted.

Also, if that drink is before the Spanish flu,
that means it’s older than the Spanish flu.

Also, Ducks float good.

During the 5 grim years of World War II,
all the countries involved created an
effective propaganda system …

(effective, efficient, with certainty ratio, coefficient of ability, coefficient of efficacity, as in, operational, from operation feasibility analysis)

… that
portrayed enemy soldiers as monsters who
deserve nothing more than death.

0:12
British, American, German, Russian and
Japanese army departments were tasked
with creating a false reality …

(a false reality to disconnect people from the truth, for military reasons of security, and, National Defense, and, Medical Control)

… where stereotypes …

(repeated suggestions)

… racism and discrimination …

(against the French constitution, and, partly, the US constitution, from a few years before the French constitution, now currently also against the UN International Declaration of Human Rights, related to those discriminations)

… were used to humiliate
the enemy and increase the hatred
between adversaries.

0:25
However, the reality of war was often
different.

0:28
On the Western front, enemies were mostly
treated with respect according to old
laws of war.

0:33
Although it may seem unlikely acts of
honor and soldier camaraderie depicting
the ancient warrior ethos were no
strange thing to the Second World War
soldiers.

0:44
Especially among Air Force pilots, mutual
respect and acts of honor shared by
aviators
resembled the medieval acts of chivalry.

0:50
A young 21 year-old USAF pilot Charlie
Brown experienced firsthand the virtuous
conduct exhibited by a Luftwaffe pilot
during a bombing raid when his B-17
Bomber
was severely damaged and about to go
down.

1:03
After the German pilot Franz Stigler
realized the american crew was
defenseless
he took the dangerous decision of
escorting the aircraft to safety across
German controlled territory.

1:12
It was an almost unbelievable tale of
two pilots that met each other as
enemies in the skies of World War II,
survived and died as best friends in
real Kamerad.

By total assets

The list is based on the April, 2020 S&P Global Market Intelligence report of the 100 largest banks in the world.[1]
The ranking was based upon assets as reported and was not adjusted for different accounting treatments.[1]
Accounting treatment affects the assets reported: for example, the United States uses US GAAP (as opposed to IFRS), which only reports the net derivative position in most cases, leading to US banks having fewer derivative assets than comparable non-US banks.[2]

If JPMorgan Chase reported under the IFRS,
it would be ranked 5th in the list as of 2020, rather than 7th.[1]

Mask Work

Photographic templates (masks) used to imprint three-dimensional images or patterns on layers of material in manufacturing semiconductor chips. Mask works may be protected in the US by rights (similar to copyrights) administered by the US Copyright Office under the authority of the federal Semiconductor Chip Protection Act of 1984 (SCPA).

A mask work must be registered with the US Copyright Office to secure protection under the SCPA, unlike copyrights, which are not necessarily registered. Though not required, notice of ownership may be affixed to a registered mask work and resulting semiconductor chips, which bars an accused infringer from raising the affirmative defense of innocent infringement.

Apparently SpaceX is improving their Starlink network to the point that there’s already plans to test it in Spain, probably before the end of this year. There’s many details to consider still, but there is a potential market for it in rural areas where there’s no fiber, 4G network isn’t reliable and they’re stuck with ADSL. In big cities there’s plenty of fiber coverage and the Starlink service might be deemed too expensive when (apparently) the service antennas will only work in an assigned geographical position or “quadrant”, i.e. you won’t be able to move the antenna and bring it with you to have connection outside of your assigned quadrant. We’ll see.

And now I’m off to bed… nighties lovelies!

Also: seeing the world through (sick) eyes…

They don’t simulate macular bleeding, which often is a initial stage of macular degeneration. It’s a funky thing where everything is distorted as if you were seeing through a crumpled paper, which is how your macula becomes when the microscopic blood vessels that feed it break and blood accumulates between the macula and the retina walls, causing bumps in the macula surface.

The macula is one of human tissues unreachable to surgery, since it’s very soft (“like wet paper tissue”, told me my doctor) and if anything goes wrong, vision is lost permanently. And even a little vision after macular degneration is better than no vision at all… I lost use fo 15% of the surface of my left eye macula when I suffered macular bleeding 12 years ago, at 34, which is quite a young age to suffer these tings.

Today I just remembered the film “The abyss” and how it was a kind of “spaceships under water” before EVE Online was “submarines in space”. I’ll try to locate the film and re-watch it. There’s been very few videogames who dealt with submarines as “spaceships under water”, I remember having played a game called Archimedean Dinasty, but that was like 20 years ago and barely remember the game. There were 4 different submarines, and the player performed missions and along the way of the main plot was given better ships (didn’t buy them, IIRC).

Memories of old… and now I’m off to bed. Nighties lovelies!

Also: they see me rollin’ / they lovin’…

I remember this, and it was always looking to me like they would put a spaceship and space plot under water.
