Time to go to sleep… with an extra hour for free since tonight is the switch to winter time and at 3 AM the time will be 2 AM again. It’s still pending to remove DST in the EU, since the governments have been dealing with more pressing issues for the last couple of years. Nighties lovelies!

Just informed myself on the Metaverse thing (watched Zuckerberg’s video without filler and John Carmack’s keynotes), and I’m still amused at how my eyeglasses are not accounted for in none of the devices talked about. Quest 2? Cambria? None of them are compatible with the kind of eyesight correction 40% of the population will use at some point in life.
Other than the creepy dead eyes of the Zuckerberg and the odd hand waving, the whole think looks detached from the real world in the wrong way… a very wrong way.

Today, while watching the live stream from the ISS, i’ve seen a thunderstorm in the night, from space, over the Democratic Republic of Congo. Flashes of light bloomed all over the screen (which covers an area of about 150 x250 km) and on some of them could be seen the shadows from the clouds above… quite a thing. Also have seen what looked like city lights (buy maybe were oil fields) over Saudi Arabia, and something I am quite sure that was a highway of some sort. Then the ISS has carried on to the Persian Gulf, Iran and beyond and the signal shifted to a replay from 15 minutes earlier since some countries have requested to not be shown on the live feed.

This is a map of Poland after someone posted that most upvoted comments will be included in changing how the map looks.
Its now actually Czechia because someone proposed that we declare war on them and then immediatelly surrender. Also the Hel is being a lot more pointing into the sea. The chess piece was proposition to put pawn on e4.

…all the details on assembling the righ angles are very interesting, also how they join the three parts of the set. I miss he spared some more time on the inners, like assembling the simulated cabins.

I always thought that all those panels would put earth in shade and it would be a lot colder, so we would have to use more solar energy to warm ourselves. Or the climat there would change and it would become really cloudy.

What OH what could go wrong with a tank that can assemble and disassemble at will so it can do several tasks at once? And what could go wrong with 300 pound cannonball missiles? And ramjet rockets without a sight to aim them…? They really took the “new concepts” proposal and ran away with it…

Also: commercial space stations are coming to a NASA near you…
I will just suggest that if they want people to walk in those stations, absolutely DO NOT hire CCP for it…
