Does the backpack have an engine that propels too? Or just the engines on the hands?

Timezone lovelies.

It haves 4x 50 pound thrust engines in the arms and 1x 90 pounds thrust engine in the backpack, with two fuel bladders on the sides. More details:

He tried with engines on the legs but it wasn’t very good, our body tends to act funny when we stop sensing the ground under the feet. But hanging from the backpack thrust feels natural.

Arms and backpack looks like its very controlable flying. Maybe also because the center of mass hangs and is close to jets rather than is carried high on top of jet streams. With legs it would be more like balancing on lines rather than hanging or supporting yourself on them. 3 points support can be very stable in that hands and backpack setup.

:notes: :musical_note:God only knows what I’d be without Bioshock: Infinite… :musical_note: :notes:

No, really. That game had a big impact on me.

I see now. I wish I could try that jetpack some day.

Makes sense.

I share two pics, no biggie, just two pics.
The obvious:

The second is NOT Hayley:

Good morning, lovelies.

This comic strip put the silliest smile in my face…

…the two “good guys” fighting each other? Come on, why? Let’s just be good guys somewhere needed!

I have dreams that are result of yesterday news and are manifestation of the possible future.

I would say I have some ability to intuitively sense something coming, but its not always happening. When my brain works with past happenings and informations it processes them not logically by reasoning and arguments with inner monologue but they rather show as fears in the dreams, and they are sooo symbolic sometimes, but also very real, to the point I wake up remembering, more because of the weirdness than emotional impact, and I remember the words spoken, what happened, the shapes, clues.

It can be that the future comes and its an allegory of the dream, and its everydays, everyones tomorrow, and I was able to see it before, as allegory, because I remember the dream, I even written it but was afraid to post it here, because it was scary and not fitting to this forum at all. I have written it at the desk in job and its still probably on the computer in txt file there.

I would say it would read like a prophecy said by a madman, or something you can find in a bible. BUT IT HAPPENED. War and all… :face_in_clouds:

Well, at one point I dreamed a date. A very short dream with a camera zooming in on a calendar date and a voice-in-dreams saying “remember this date! Remember this date! Remember this date!”.

Thus I wrote it down next morning. I have a idea of what it might be, but don’t want to share it because of self-fulfilling prophecies and such.

What it might be and how I dreamed of it years in advance, that’s a tough guess. I can totally bull a explanation with a simile…

Say that something cataclismic goes out on a distant city, well beyond the horizon. You see something, like a shine in the sky, yet you don’t know where it comes from, how far it is or what it is, you jsut perceived it. Space (distance) hides all but the tiniest sliver of information.

So, could our brains be able to get out of tune with time continuum and experience events from other points of timeline…? Even, future points? Or maybe some future points of our brain’s timeline could kinf of … short-circuit themselves to a random point in their past/our present?

Dunno. But i’m gonna be mighty scared if my dream turns to be about something real and not just part of the random garbage my brain produces some nights.

I remember the upset I experienced (and shared here) about a dream featuring car crashes with maimed people and gory carnage as I never had seen -or so I thought. Turns out that some years later I ran onto the source of that gory imagery, photographs from the Balkans war. Not the specific images, but enough torn flesh and exposed bone to fuel an unpleasant dream.

I think the answer is more simple, and its what I wrote already, that our brains use past experiences to imagine something. Like the dream, but it is out of time. It may be about future event as it was already in past. Because some things will be reoccuring in the life of a person. At some points in time people will return to the calendar and see the date. At some points they will see clock and realize that the time is now, that it is 20:20 or 21:12, or some other strangely reoccuring setup. The unusual happens many times, you just have to live long enough and see anough, read enough, know enough and feel enough.
Then it all starts to come together like a puzzle.

Weekends feel so short when working on saturday morning… barely a day and half and tomorrow i’ll be back to work. Sigh… nighties lovelies!

Also: it’s absurd but also logical…

When someone built a “replica” of the Ark as a kind of bible exhibition, their initial plans included having live animals in it. They soon gave up once they realized the ventilation nightmare required just to get rid of ammonia before animals and visitors suffocated in the windowless hulk of the Ark, even with a proper sanitation system to dispose of most of the animal waste before it could rot. So now the replica Ark is the best replica animatronics and wooden-coated concrete can buy you… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Also: people living on Mars won’t be something we get to see in our lives…

…maybe not even someone setting foot on Mars. The challenge is gonna take a lot of money and time, but specially time. And money.
