Nighties lovelies. Last night one of my (newly developed) full length film dreams was interrupted at a point where the story was getting interesting… and it being a dream, i can’t continue it so i will never know how the story ended (but probably it ended bad). 
The point involved a guerrilla member stealing a portable X-Ray machine to get money to extract from the jungle his beloved, a pregnant and sick guerrilla woman, but the machine quickly is found missing and his friend (and commander) knows the only one who could sell the machine is the thief so… end of the dream. Dammit.

I remember that my grandpa’s flat had three inside rooms with no windows… not outside at least. One had a large horizontal window by the ceiling, opening it to my grans’ bedroom which opened to a balcony. Another had a small square window by the ceiling, opening it to the dinner room. And another had glass bricks to let some natural light in from an outside room whose name I don’t know in English. It had a door to the bathroom, large windows to cloth lines and housed the washing machine and a gas-fueled freezer. The freezer used gas for fuel since there was only one elecric outlet in the room adn was on the opposite wall by the only place they could place a water intake and exit for the washing machine. The building was built in 1906 and so had (well, still has) a funny internal structure and electricity had been brought to it after building it… the main power line actually entered the building through a drugstore shop on the first floor of the building (many buildings in Barcelona still have shops on their frist floor, with independent access from the street). So at my gran’s, the chemsit shop had electicity installed at the shop and offered to let his main line extend into the rest of the building through a wall. This was geenrous fo him because aakc in those times electricity posed a fire hazard and obviously feeding the building with 8 flats in it would require a lot more power than just his drugstore alone. Later one of the neighbors plated the dividing wall with metal sheet around the porcelain insulator holding the power line so it was fireproof in the event of a short shooting sparks around…

I’ve had enough of my old HDD who’s being malfunctioning for over a year. Bought me a new WD Blue in 4 TB of size. Was considering to get a WD Black but, 92 vs 234 euros is not a contest… I already have a backup disk so worst case I would lose films and TV series and other stuff I don’t backup.
