Not really, Its more like tying currency to economy and controlling this mess with a few tricks that will make it not lose value quickly, because that would hurt economy and in effect make people that use currency miserable and poor. They have to diminish the possibility of “Pump and dump” technique for their own good. These people are exposed and have to take responisibility. On contrary, If all you can see is computer screen wit few bytes of data that are vulnerable to power shortage and all you can do is push some keys to express your rage when bitcoin falls in value, you dont have much power in your hands.

They can use the “pump and dump” and “short and distort” to have even more money. Its good for making money only if you cash out in the right time, and you keep speculating with more of it. Heaven for speculators.

It have only so much value as you are willing to give for it. It doesnt have permanent value, as any money, its means of exchanging really useful stuff, that with real value.
Permanently valued are things that are physical assets that are usufull in life. Land, water, minerals, homes, etc.
