I liked Landmark, when they did updates to it and those videos where they presented player builds. It felt more like an “architecture online” or virtual gallery than anything with those “game mechanics” they had. It was all about building really, like you would get a ginormous bag of lego bricks you had to dig into to build anything what you wish. The best was to see what people came up with, then trying your best to build something even more amazing so jaws would drop. :ok_hand:

"SW Galaxies (bugland, killed by a carebear patch)"
I rather think it was killed by both the introduction of the OP jedi making that the only viable pvp type after the removal of permadeath. And the chang from free skilltraining to ‘cookie cutter professions’.

BTW three of those games Blade referenced were made by SOE.

The real question is: are you able to go full “cool professor” now with that new clothing?

What killed SWG for me were the crappy animations. I’m not really picky over graphics, but when an npc is running left, and the animation is walking to the right…it ruins it for me. Then add on top of that animations that never fire at the right times, making what you see completely different from the combat numbers.

It’s a shame, there were some fun things about the game.

Yes, I like my animations to be smooth too, and realistic, In fact GTA5 have a superb system of caracter animations, Natural Motion tech is there.

The animations in GTA are awesome yet they can’t load large areas due to it. They did get better at it as I remember speeding in the old versions and crashing into a car rendered ‘too late’ Haven’t had that in GTA 5 for PC. I did have it on the Xbox, but we can’t blame consoles for anything!

That is pretty good. I tend to prefer the silliness of Saints Row, where I am laughing too hard at running everyone over to care how realistic it looks .

Yeah! Well, my main (this character) is with the shirt and cap, because hard worker needs light clothes!
My combat alt the combat suit
My Explorer is the one with the amazing coat

I am only sad that the male glasses are bugged, they look so odd, even made a topic about it.

Yes, the glasses look like they were rigged to a face in some points and are completely deforming when you put them. Maybe that is why I dont see much male characters wearing them.

GTA sets new levels for realistic actually. I like this attention to detail. Things work like they should be, mostly. Closer to matrix every day. :sunglasses:

Yeah, only weirdos wear the sunglasses! Oh. wait… :open_mouth:

I think the only GTA I have played is the original top down lol.

Played it too. The radio music is timeless.

But the best feature was the farts and burps, Admit it.

They are always fun.

lol…

I like detail in my games, but the only way I would try GTA V is if I can play a purple bearded drag queen like I have in Saints Row

Look around you and tell me with absolute confidence that what you see is really real and not just a simulation.
