Here’s my recent endeavor. Liquid tight tig aluminum. Or aluminium depending on my accent for the day -) Its a very tedious metal to work with. Everything needs to be clean, you need to be comfy (99% of welding is comfy). It also helps if the sun and moon are aligned. With that kind of gravitational pull you can suspend liquid metals in mid air for 100’s of milliseconds before something goes terribly wrong, or right.
Watched a youtube video today, it pointed out some things about licensing and purchasing…
Games on Steam are licensed, that, most know but… apparently at any time they can jut delete the game or remove it from an account and that’s it, it’s gone whether you bought it or not… SO at any moment steam could go **** you and delete everything you paid for… and then of course release it again and make you buy it again as long as it’s put under a different license from the one on your account. This has be done in ios 11 it seems, for the 32 bit applications anyways. It seems pirated software does have a place, the underground archives.
I bought civ 5 and XCOM enemy unknown on DVD-Rom, still made me connect to steam to download them though…
@StonerPhReaK That looks like one of those new Heat-Sink cases
@StonerPhReaK I realize it’s not metal work, but i’ve been learning 3D rendering (Primarily for video effects) and spent a few hours last night playing with this
The poor don’t want any poorer coming to compete for resources of the richer… It’s about the same Spain was thinking when the last expansion of the UE meant the development funds dedicated to Spain would be moving to Eastern Europe countries…
…yet the part when they would start voting anti-EU fascistoid assholes was not in the plans.
Spain and Portugal will always retaliate! We did it in the past and we can do it again!
… To be honest with how things are nowadays I doubt we actually can nowadays… So huh… l-look! Overseas! A huge country called freedom! Get that instead!
Well, Spain expelled the Arabs after conquering the lands they had conquered in the Iberian penisula… and then expelled the Jews and totally wrecked its finances right as American richess started pouring in… and then after a century and half expelled the muslims who still lived in Spain and totally wrecked the economy of entire regions… it’s a kind of tradition to expell anyone who’s different regardless of puny economical reasoning!
Portugal was formed during that, and my god was it an empire of colonies…
Funny, when I played Europa Universalis IV i started playing as Portugal and their playstyle is precisely about colonising stuff. So I did, I was almost top 1 super power just with colonies I had in America and around the world.
But then the real life act kicked in, a war went on, Portugal got weak, colonies saw it as an opportunity to rebel, back to square 1. Just Portugal and a few islands. Just like IRL! (without the dramatization of wars and stuff)
At one point, Portugal was assimilated into Spain, after a disastrous attempt of crusading in northern Africa that killed the Portuguese king and most of his noblemen. That opened the door to a Spanish claim on the Portuguese throne which the remaining Portuguese nobles couldn’t stop.
Also it didn’t helped Portugal when the treaty of Tordesillas accidentally granted to Spain 80% of the Americas and then Spanish sailors discovered the “Tornapaís” route across the Pacific ocean, which made effectively possible to trade between Asia and Europe through America.
