Yeah, he’s a genius. In developer terms, 1 Chris Sawyer= 150 CCP devs.

Here its rather kefir or buttermilk. Actually baked apples flavoured buttermilk is very sweet and good, even addicting.

Time to go to sleep. Tomorrow i’ll go cut my hair as probably will be my last non-work saturday until august. I totally hate working on saturdays, specially before the peak seasons picks up and we just bore ourselves to death. If at least my computer screen was out of sight of my boss… but he seats behind me and can see my screen so, no web surfing. And even if I could, I couldn’t write without drawing his attention. If he just left me alone… pretending that you’re not not-working is very weary.

Anyway, I go to bed now. Nighties lovelies!

Also: building a Minecraft castle in hardcore mode…

Not to mention that someone has to do it, too. Work stops for not even the weekend.

I want something like this castle. :ok_hand:

I have found the most recent film about it. Looks like its steadily going up.

Timezone everyone :kissing_heart:/

They even had warm in this castle.

A rather ingenious thing, no smoke in the rooms, only heat coming thru the holes in the floor. :ok_hand:

Oh and there is a very good documentary from BBC about this Guédelon castle.

Good morning… huh… afternoon LAGLers!

Turns a TV production company here in my city is aspiring to earn a Grammy with a video clip. They also produced a notorious video clip a couple years ago, here are them:

Artist: Beck. Theme: Up all night (2017)

Artist: Tame Impala. Theme: The less I know the better (2015)

Is he the same Beck from 1993’s “Loser” song? Or is it just a name coincidence?

Yes, it’s the same Beck.

hmm, you maybe mis-informed, I’m not sure. I just pulled this off of google.

Freckles are just skin cells that contain a pigment (color) called “melanin.” Melanin is a chemical made by skin cells called “melanocytes.” Melanin helps to protect the skin from the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays by reflecting or absorbing them. Freckles are triggered by exposure to sunlight.

So, melanated people have higher protection from the Sun and higher protection from skin cancers.

I have never seen red hair turn brown, just to grey
Some red hair only shows well in the sun and just often appears brownish in other light. The hair on my head is red in sun and brown elsewhere, but my beard is always red, it makes for an interesting look.

Hair can become bleached from sun exposure, and the black dots are called Nevus and they are something slightly different than freckles.

LOL. Freckles happen naturally by local production of melatonin, but sun-inducted freckles are a pathological reaction to excess of UV radiation. They happen when the skin can’t produce enough melatonin, but some packs of cells get so stressed by UV damage that they eventually manage to manufacture melatonin… and become a freckle. Yet the rest of skin is being literally irradiated, completely unprotected.

Healthy skin will tan (if it can). Sun freckles are a sign of the skin being unable to protect itself by tanning and thus receiving UV damage.

Over time, the hair losses the ability to produce the red pigment and so hair becomes reddish brown rather than red. You bet Ms. Castish dyes her hair since 20 to preserve that “red hue” that made her be like a carrot in school.

Accidentally this is why red hair is associated with youth so you see lots of 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s women with their hair dyed red.

I am Type III, run of the mill for the Mediterranean, but my dad’s family are Type II and he must be careful with the sun. Nowadays I would burn badly as I haven’t sunbathed in 30 years, but with normal sun exposure, I am perfectly capable to develop a healthy tan. :ok_hand:

I have no idea who castish is, but I speak from personal experience with people I know (and myself) that hair stays red for much longer than that :P. What has given you the idea that people with red hair and pale skin are unhealthy?
