So I’m a relatively new player in EVE being right at the end of my second week and I’m at the point where I am just clueless in what I should do. And then an insane idea that is practically impossible and would probably block out using my character came to mind: To find a small group of Small Corporations and set them against each other somehow. But then a bigger thought came to mind: Why not all of the large corporations? And I’m probably never going to act on that impulse but I figured I’d put up a topic of What Is The Most Ridiculous/ Self-Destructive Yet Interesting Thing You Once Thought About Doing In Eve?

In my early days (first year or so) I was dreaming of having an Avatar Titan and Aeon super carrier … Years later I learned just terrible these ships are and I buried that dream in an instant. Never looked back, never again felt the desire to get one of the ships.

I thought AFK mining in high sec in a Badger 2 with extenders, one mining laser and a smartbomb running while I wandered off to my local for the night would be a fine thing to do.

Back when I first started Eve, my first corporation had a mining op for some rare nullsec ore. This was years before wormholes (and cloaks) came out. I flew out there, participated in the mining op, filled my cargo hold with the ore and then flew all the way back and got podded on the last gate in null.

I once thought about getting sov in nullsec and make it available to smaller organisations willing to pay rent. Ludicrous, I know.
Dear OP, I like your idea, but it’s not new. It has been done. Multiple wars resulted from it, so good times in the best of Eve’s notorious tradition. Don’t let that put you off. Pursue that dream. The (meta)game can use it.

Oh, I misunderstood the point of this thread. My crazy dream has always been to build a fully-stocked market hub in Thera.
I don’t think I have the right temperament to actually ever make progress on that dream, though.

I guess this counts as insane/destructive. I once thought about loading up a Disco Rokh and letting-rip on a stargate in a busy highsec system.
…and then I did it.
Got my sec status down to -7 very quickly, received some tears, received a “gf” in local, and gave some of the local mercs a fun time. Worth.

Uhhh… I saw a capsule at incursion dockup in my incursion vindi. I had a very huge urge to set my safeties to red and shoot it. Luckily I didn’t.

I am betting that this is an alt of LowPower Solutions, the ganker who set in motion the destruction of CODE’s Fortizar in Niarja as he thought joining CODE and getting them to war dec an AG corp/ alliance would crush them. Was a funny story, that ended up with many structure pixels getting blown up. But if not that story is one worth knowing.
