The newly nerfed ore anomalies

i am saving for faction titan and paying 35b per month it not a option for me

Don’t nullsec anomalies respawn, though? A bit of warping would not lead to skyrocketed prices.

No. Ore anoms take 4 hours to respawn. 4 hour wait to mine enough ore to build 1.5 cruisers. People just won’t do it. Believe me, the people who will be hurting here are your high sec dwellers with limited resources.

Add to that your big null alliances SRP its members (replace any ship a line member loses in pvp fleets so they are not out of pocket for contributing to the war effort) and things will be comfortable in null. Alliances have stockpiles of resources too. High sec, new players and people with low isk reserves will suffer as prices inflate.

Seriously, where did you think all your ships came from on the Jita market my dude?

Skyrocketing T1 ship prices? You mean instead of 600k it will be 2kk? This thread is very dramatic.

600k? Not sure where you’re going there, but this is what I can see happening:

T1 Battleships - 250m+
T1 BC - 150m+
T1 Cruisers - 50m+

Add in the fit and you’re looking at a big increase if you want to go whelp a bunch of Vexxors in pvp or farm some c2/c3 in a Myrm etc

T3C will stay relatively stable though.

You must wonder how we managed before rorquals and moon mining…

That’s a bit inconsistent, since now cruisers are around 10m and BS are around 150m. Do you have predicted mineral prices to support your numbers?

Who cares? These prices are still totally manageable.

Why would I wonder that? I played before rorquals were overbuffed

And how much did cruisers cost then?

I guess nobody built a titan per week then, so there were more minerals available for other production.

They might be to you and I, but not so much new players or those with limited resources. I suspect we’ll see pvp activity drop as a result of ships being harder to replace.

Did PvP activity increase as a result of ships being cheaper?

Well, no. At least not obviously. Despite years of farmers arguing this as a reason why they should be made able to harvest even greater quantities of resources, it didn’t work. It just devalued the game for everyone, these short-sighted farmers included.

So many things will change, no one can predict how this will shake out. But I think almost everyone agrees a shake up is needed at this point, and so kudos to CCP for giving it a go, even if there is risk of things going wrong here.

This is ridiculous. Even the nullsec rorqual grinders are claiming the newbies are going to be the real victims.

They do generate newbie alts, though…

I’m not trying to be triumphant. It’s this massive amount of self entitlement that bothers me. Not just from miners, but from many people. They don’t really fit into EVE. This game didn’t have such a massive amount of self entitled whiners in the past. They were there, of course, but nowadays they’re just literally everywhere and don’t actually fit the concept of EVE at all.

From your post it seems you aren’t, or weren’t really aware of CCP’s modus operandi. Getting rid of undesired players is literally how they operate. Usually, though, they do it slowly. They introduce changes over the course of years, which attract one type of player usually at the cost of another.

See CrimeWatch 2.0. It alienated a lot of older players and slowly started bringing in new types of players, mostly care bears. The story they’ve told to sell CrimeWatch 2.0 was one of their best propaganda pieces ever. Ever.

Ever since CrimeWatch 2.0 they’ve been catering to care bears and whales. They’ve been doing that for years, attracting more and more people they can easily milk out of their money. It’s how they shift the population of the game towards those they want to have around. For example, when they’ve introduced incursions they wanted to attract players who like to do endgame-PvE content. Every change aims at a certain type of player, new or established.

They’ve announced that today’s change is the second of three, with the last ore change coming next month. As we’re in the PvP quadrant of their new Quadrant system, I expect this change to be aimed at PvPers. People who want to fight for the ore. The last years or so they seemed to have attempted attracting a different type of miner, a miner who wants to fight for his ore or at least be around people willing to fight for their ore, and what we’re seeing now seems to be somewhere at the end of that line of attracting those kinds of people.

Anyhow, that’s why I’m saying that CCP wants to get rid of them. It’s not out of hate for miners, or even out of hate against self entitled brats. It’s simply because that’s how they operate. They’ve been seeking Whales to milk for the last years to get into a good position for the sale to PA. Now that the process has been completed in october, they do not have any need for boosting important accounting numbers anymore and are getting rid of these people again. Which makes sense, because they actually really don’t belong here, as we can see by their very own comments.

So… that would be “yes, they do respawn” surely?

But you know that if too many players leave there will be no pvp since everybody has his own System? Eve is way too big for the handful of players that would stay. And second … if nobody pays for plex or Sub … who is going to pay for servers, devs etc ? PA is a Company that BOUGHT CCP, so EVE is no longer the belonging of CCP but PA and if the money count goes below Zero, what do you think PA is going to do? Remember the Blackout … when the Devs had their personal Blackout and tried the very stupid idea of kicking all those Players that YOU say don’t belong here. Well … I guess you are wrong and have to wake up from your dream of supremacy … creditcards rule the world, not some so called gamedesigner who wants to have a “pure” game. EVE is dying, a Long and slow death, but its end is near. And there is Nothing you can do About it.

buying plex is not producing ships unless the add this feature in NES

Hang on, do you not see this happening as a certainty now? I mean, skins, PLEX, Hyperscam stuff - of course ships for RL money is the next step.

And after ships comes housing, space-pets and more outfits and some sort of ingame-emoticon nonsense…
