Anyway, I was talking about the process of creation. CCP regurgitates, calls it a program, and then much later they come up with an explanation for how that regurgitated mass fits in to the EVE Online fiction. If this so-called Nasa “scientist” (in quotation marks: What Scientist would teach gibberish about Science??? Why do you need a Scientist to spew the gibberish that will cloak EVE Online???) had to “break all the science rules” to explain EVE Physics, its because the programming of EVE came first and the explanation later! And that means that CCP dictated what the so-called NASA “scientist” had to say. (Explain why ships can’t travel along the Z axis, up or down, and explain why a 14,000 Ton ship traveling at the speed of sound can ram into another ship, doesn’t matter how many thousands of tons, and do absolutely no damage whatsoever, when IRL space debris of less than 1 pound traveling at the speed of sound can do severe damage to anything it hits.)
What the video of “EVE Physics” proves is that CCP is NOT planning what happens in EVE Online. they are NOT planning then programming. They are regurgitating and then trying to come up with rationalizations for what you see.
But he didnt. He was just geeking out in front of other geeks. As for how the game works, make one and we will see about yours. Also I am sure people would criticize it, you can be sure. I have never seen a game that was just perfect for everybody. Most people just move along and forget about the game they dont think is worth playing.
I think the reasons are:
CCP builds tools.
Players use the tools.
CCP has a basic background.
Players add the details.
EvE is not a storybook to be read from cover to cover…
or from level 1 to whatever end game is some random expansion.
Play in the sandbox.
Get creative.
Get dirty.
Make others dirtier.
Help clean others off.
Some will get sand in their eyes.
Tears flush the sand away.
They’ll get better.
Everyone has fun in the end.

But, I already am explaining how EVE Online physics work.
IT’S GARBAGE!
This is why you need to throw EVE Online into a dumpster!
Don’t you have to write some more whine posts about how afk cloakers hurt your feelings and that you want 100% safe rmt space?
Its just a game, relax. Take a deep breath, maybe go for a walk. Experience real physics or I dont know what.
Oh, Auto Auto Auto *sigh
The guy’s professional history is very much public information and very easily accessable (especially to EvE players, as he is an EvE-uber-geek [cue “one of us” chant]) and has done a bunch of interviews/been on EvE-related shows, etc.
You value honesty, Auto ol’ pal? Good. So you would be able to honestly say you have evaluated the potential consequences of CCP actually implementing at least some aspects of Newtonian physics into their game? Wonderful! I hope they do! I will be the streamer parked outside the jita undock laughing and being greatly entertained when they do. It shall be magnificent!
A “decoy” object might be fun, which scans as some valuable item, but after some time period in an unfamiliar cargo hold explodes for a bazillion damage to the ship carrying it.
Translation: “I am Auto-da-fe and I’m a jerk.”
Really you are. You are so unhinged in your views that now you are slagging on somebody you haven’t even interacted with at all, not even here on the forums. So the guy likes spaceships, both real and virtual, and to help explain some of the more goofy parts of the game he comes up with an explanation. His only “sin” is loving a game you hate and for that you impugn his credentials…nice work jackass.
Seriously, it was just a Mammoth. Calm down miner!
Imagine if he actually lost something of value. He would probably fly to Iceland, camp outside of CCPs headquarters and scream at everyone entering the building.
Good thing we got him early.
Haha wow. This game isn’t for crybabies. Especially ones that lash out at people for their own stupidity, which you openly admit. How can you call people out for their supposed behaviour (you cite no real examples) when you act so deplorably yourself?
Or worse.
I get the feeling that people like Furious Wad and his alts are the reason restraining orders were created.
Don’t carry half a month’s worth of income in a single ship. Problem solved.
Is it declining? The past week since I came back, I generally see 30K+ players
It is rather stable. People may be worried that CCP cant get their monies tho, as CCP dont publish subscribers to alpha numbers. The ratio is unknown. Soon there will be a financial report so we will see how much they made anyway.
According to Eve Offline, the online pop has remained surprisingly stable for the last three years.
Hold on a second…
That means this thread could, or should, be closed?
