Hisec corporation are an abomination and wardecs work to cull their proliferation.
Cloaky camping is the only reasonable way to curb the nullbears enthusiasm.
Hisec ganking is one of the things that makes this game stand out - it teaches people how to evaluate an action based on risk/reward which is a useful skill to employ in real life too.

I say no. While some of these could use another look, it would need a huge effort to make them more interesting and there is the danger of getting rid of them altogether.
Strong impression here that many people who argue against them don’t want slight changes which could make the game more interesting, but want to abolish these mechanics completely. While I could imagine for each of the 3 to have better mechanics, at least they provide a reason to play as a group. Get rid of them and EVE turns more into soloplayer farmville.
The huge amount of work needed to make them better, should probably go into other mechanics instead.

No it really isn’t and more democracy is demonstrably a very good idea. EVE however is not a democracy, it is a product owned by CCP.

The whole war dec thing is designed to make people band together to fight and defend what they have. Not onesy and twosey mining, industrying, PI’ing all by their lonesome not talking to anybody. Thats minecraft, not Eve.
Democracy doesn’t work as intended when the collective doesn’t care about itself as a whole, which is what we have in the game and in reallife in western nations, with the exception of iceland and switzerland.
Please use the existing threads. We have plenty of them and we certainly don’t need one that tries to fix or discuss multiple issues at once and in the wrong forum section. Get these basic things right and you’ll have a chance for people to listen, but get them wrong and you’ve already made a fool of yourself and the responses in the thread are a testimony to this.
So, please, do it the right way.
