I admire your passion, Korsavis-haan, and I will give you the benifit of the doubt that you sincerely hold these convictions and wish to avoid the trappings of the previous administration. If anything, and I cannot stress this enough, I am inclined to agree. I make no apologies or excuses for the Provist regime under Tibus Heth pure and simply because I am not and never was a Hethist Provist.
But tell me, given the recent news of Anin and Torrinos, how is the current brand of authoritarianism any different? As @Morgana_Tsukiyo mentioned the reforms posted in the initial provist manifesto are genuinely good things like job choice, automation without human obsolescence, and workplace modernization. The current neoliberal austerity in state is every bit as brutally authoritarian as the Provist regime with none of the benifits of “Provist” policies, a convenient excuse for the corporations to curtail expensive reforms.
Heth betrayed the revolution and the State, and while it may not be as easily remembered in the capsuleer community the warclone community still vividly retains memories of The Purge when our kind were hunted by the Templis Dragonaurs under Heth’s orders. I wasn’t privy to experiencing that particular massacre, at the time I was a mortal working as an indentured servant displaced by the war. My father was a vocal opponent to Heth’s militarism and paid for it with his life and his fortune. My partner, however, only narrowly escape the Purge back then as a stow away onboard a Guristas transport bound North. His support then for the Provists, and his membership with the Templis Dragonaurs, did nothing to save him when he refused to turn on his fellow warclones.
I hated Heth, and all the trappings of his specific brand of nationalism. But in the bones of his movement is a framework of a vanguard political class of like-minded patriots humbled by the failure of reactionary nationalism and unchecked jingoism. Those willing to adapt and dedicate themselves to the progressive elements of the movement while abandoning those that doomed the state can and should be given a chance at reform and redemption. Not merely as a continuation of traditional Heth ideology, but a truly revoltuonary movement spearheaded by those with an undying love for their country and the people that live within it.
In all honesty, between you and me, it may be a massive grift to trick former Caldari revanchists into swallowing class-conscious ideology and revolutionary action. Cough, cough. But they will either find themselves as a loyal and reformed part of the State Vanguard, or they will be useful idiots that will serve the net benefit of pushing the state toward revolution.
At any rate, I encourage you to speak with me personally on the matter if you have any doubts as to my intentions or if you believe I am cut of the same cloth as Heth. I’d happily demonstrate otherwise.
