There is a place where you can have risks. That’s wormhole space. Don’t like nullsec and their safety nets? Come to wormhole space. It’ll be fun just do it. Also while you’re here, praise our lord and savior bob.
Shut up Balos.
Privateering isnt pirating. Pirates were given a pardon 2x between 1685 and 1715. After that they were eradicated by 1717
Actually it is; the only difference being that a privateer had a letter of marque to ensure their own country’s navy wouldn’t hang them for piracy.
An English privateer would have been hung as a pirate by the French, the Spanish and the Portuguese authorities of the time.
Yep…it was literally state sponsored piracy…
Speaking of pirates, the commonly portrayed, and exaggerated, accent is from Dorset in the UK.
All thanks to a guy named Robert Newton, from Dorset, who portrayed Long John Silver in Treasure Island.
That said historically most of the English pirates were from this neck of the woods anyway; Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall accounting for a large majority of the seafaring plunder merchants.
Anyone trusting anyone in EVE that doesn’t know the person at least a bit in RL or has had a very LT gaming relationship with that person is a fool.
You’re literally asking to get ganked or scammed by opening up recruitment to anyone.
I understand but most groups start out from other games, toons that come from established clans and are now characters in corporations.
Just starting a corp and inviting anyone is almost impossible to enjoy but can be a challenge.
Once you get a char to over 5.5m sp you can just sell the SP every month.
Overall it will mean around 400m isk / month expense to keep it omega, instead of the 2.1b atm.
I will endorse a CSM character that kills a miner anyday of the week.
Good fight.
