You misunderstood. I’m all for mining implants, I’m just saying that hardly anyone would use them. Miners are some of the most risk averse players in the game. They can’t even be bothered to be at the keyboard most of the time, and whine about gankers, bumpers, Trigs, etc… You think they are actually going to be willing to risk not only their ship but their implants as well while they are off in the next room rubbing one out to Blanche from the Golden Girls on Netflix? Those implants would make sense for someone actually at the keyboard, actively mining and doing the fleet boost thing, but your average miner won’t use them.

Then roquals should be stripped from all drones as well. Then all ships should be stripped from all drone capabilites besides drone carriers because they are not droneboat, therefore should not be allowed to use drones.
Then we should go back 15 years in time and play vanilla eve. This guy…

They are allowed to use drones. They are not, however, allowed to use drones as effectively as droneboats. And that we see already.
You can make a combat Covetor, but it would perform poorly in combat. Is it fair, maybe combat abilities of Covetor should be boosted?

I’m a miner, and I would use them. You would use them, and I’m pretty sure there are a couple of thousand players out there who would be glad to have the option to use them as well.
I’m sure some miners would use them, but that also means that the AFK trash miners will make use of them as well, and I’d like to get rid of as many of those types of players as possible…

You know as well as I do that the Orca is not, and was never intended to be, a mining ship. That is not it’s purpose. It is a FLEET support ship that cannot fit mining lasers and just so happens to have a bonus to mining drones…

It’s purpose is what it’s bonuses and stats state. What CCP made it’s purpose.
Since those ships stats state that they have bonuses for mining therefore they are mining vessels.
Since it is established that they are mining vessels, it should be considered at all times as a mining vessels and I see no reason being hooked up and argue against something which is a fact.
