I think your point is delivered and understood. I don’t agree or disagree, it doesn’t matter. But my o.p wasn’t about Ramona or some troll that ISD seem to favor. Why? Lazers are very damaging. I don’t see why they couldn’t damage hulls and modules. They seem to bite into space rock like butter. What’s stronger, a module or a rock? Modules are made from space rock so why not?
The second thought is, if one allows mining lasers to damage modules there is no argument against regular weapons doing damage to asteroids. Which the miners wouldn’t like one bit

But I also think that lazer weapons should be able to bite into asteroids as well. Even hybrid weapons.
Come on, CCP, be consistent and give us that option.

I dont have a problem with weapons damaging asteroids, but their HP should be far more than the ridiculous HP of a MFB

Its a gun for Ventures, and a use for mining lasers for everyone else. Win-Win
I can think of more points for the platform if you like.
Blasters are good enough to damage mining ships modules.

Oh please, can we have bombs for asteroid fields too ? You know, kinda obliterate the belts of our enemies ? Scorched earth and all that ? Please ? Would ccp fozzie be amenable to the idea, maybe boost his plans for the cruiser sized stealth bombers ? Win-win !!

Given where bombs work, I have zero issue with that.
But please remember: my platform is ONLY MMLDTDTM*. It is not on the contingency on any change to asteroids.
*With Exploding Ice, if possible
