Why the heck is this game so expensive to play. I played for years and every once and awhile i come back to see how it is going. I was kinda hoping to see a 3 month Game time/MCT special like normal years but instead I see a 30Day/3Month MCT for the same price as the 3mth combo use to be. Sux. Not great for hooking old players into coming back when there are so many other games out there that are just cheaper… not eve but hell… I use to run 2 accounts and now I can not even justify spending for 1. Wondering if I am alone in this.

If you want to go play the latest mobile sh!t game that’s been ported to PC in order to save money, you do that.

“Expensive” is subjective. For someone who gets 5k a month the game is pretty cheap. For someone who doesn’t he can be content with an Alpha clone.
Besides, a lot of games are crap. After 20 years of searching for a game worth my time I finally got hooked on one I like: Manor Lords… Don’t ask me why.
Let’s be honest here. If you can’t afford $16 USD for an Omega subscription, there are probably better things you need to be doing with your life than playing online video games…

If you look at it this way, in America, the national average cost of a burger + fries is $11.56 so just skip that mc donalds drive thru twice and and you have more then enough for the game per month.

Add that you also have to buy an expansion for WoW of about $50 every two years on top of the regular subscription. EVE doesn’t do that.

There is 12 month 2700 Plex offer, if you had gotten the 3000 Plex special Offer two months ago for 99$ you’ve had enough for 12 months plus a bunch of expansive gifts worth at least other 500 PLEX…
So it’s like 8$.Eur a Month if you consider the 12 Month offer…
But no special gifts crates on X-MAS day…
It’s not like it’s more expensive than it was 10 years ago, but you need to interact with the NEO shop, follows special offers initiatives and move your PLEXES…
EVE is much more dynamic now with SKINR program than ever…
