Isn’t it amazing how everyone that does not share your opinion is a troll?

I’m not the one claiming to psychically know…without any stats…what a ‘huge percentage’ of gamers want or don’t want. Making up stats out of thin air is classic troll behaviour.
Except I’m not making it up. Watch the video I’ve linked.
That video is just someone’s personal opinion. Where is your actual data source for your ‘huge percentage’ claim ?
That video is 25 minutes long. You’ve discarded it after 5. If you can’t or won’t invest time to do some research, I’m not doing it for you. Sorry.
Cobblers. I’m not going to waste 25 minutes of my time to find info and a source ( not an opinion ) you ought to be able to directly link to. If you had that direct source you’d give it…so clearly you don’t and are just making stuff up.
If you see considering my side of the argument as a waste of time, then we don’t have anything to talk about.
In such cases, it’s ok to stop responding.
After reading some of this bs I want eve too burn even more now
Hell I might even start an alt to just gank people in HS just to foce some of you pve ers too die
But my point still stands the space is too big for most of you too hide in and do nothing but crab I step of blowing up one another
If you cant beat them, join them…right?
I think your little idea there will be most welcomed.
Let’s just stop for a second to appreciate the fact that I’ve just did more for expanding the ganking community than @Aiko_Danuja ![]()
Delusional.

So how do you propose to decide what systems are getting removed? I nominate Fraternity’s staging system
In all seriousness it’s a lot easier to add systems than remove them since players likely have their stuff in those systems.
That awful website has been popping way too often in these discussions for many years now.
Why can people not read where this website gets it’s ‘data’ and realize they predict rubbish based on garbage stats?
‘Numbers are estimates from public signals’
So, if we post more on reddit with more accounts, or stream more and watch more Twitch, the ‘EVE player count’ goes up.

Take websites like these with a grain of salt, especially when a ‘massive playerbase drop’ is the result of such a website switching to a new kind of calculation rather than something happening at the side of the games they pretend to have stats of.
EVE never had anywhere close to 2 million concurrent players so I’m very glad this website realized their mistake, but I would still never trust their data for any meaningful discussion about player populations.
Really they would start by removing the back water systems and making their way too the most active
But I like your idea and raise you this
Remove all their staging systems ( all the null besrs and even the wh blue donut) and throwing them in a single system where they all get 1 life and if you die your toon gets deleted and force them to fight it out until one side is victorious
I want the world too burn my friend
It’s among top 5 results that come up when you search for keywords ‘‘player count’’ ‘‘eve online’’. That might have something to do with it. On duckduckgo it’s the second result. Also second on Bing. Not sure of its ranking on google.
But yeah, their numbers didn’t make any sense to me. It’s very misleading to display your graphs like that. When you change your calculation method you should not display the data with the new method on the same graph as the data done with the old method. It’s just confusing. Because all most people will look at is that drop, and then they will go: ‘‘see EVE Online has lost 2m players!’’.
And the terms those guys use! ‘’…plus momentum and stability’'; ‘‘Numbers are estimates from public signals’’; ‘‘Confidence and Freshness indicate data quality’’; ‘‘Use Today vs Monthly to gauge current heat’’.
‘‘Momentum’’? ‘‘Signals’’? ‘‘Heat’’? It sounds like English is not their first language and those are some terms from a foreign language directly translated to English. At least I’ve never heard of such words used in the context of video games.
EDIT: just for fun, this is what Bing AI has to say about ‘‘player count’’ ‘‘EVE Online’’:
Another example how AI has contributed to the deterioration in quality and credibility of information found online (did you see the Everest map I posted?). Me personally, I didn’t notice this before AI. I always checked credible sources and there were very few occasions when I ran into false information online. But now it’s everywhere because even legitimate outlets/sites are letting AI do their work for them.
since when was watching youtube considered research? I need to go back to college, it would so much easier!
I’ve used YouTube many times for research. There are some really great teaching videos for just about any subject.
does instruction material count as research? Wouldn’t research including multiple sources and study?
