Its pretty obvious that you just came into this thread and read just the last few posts. I very clearly stated way up in the thread that i want players in the game…i want new players in the game…no matter their play style.
This new demographic thats easing their way into this game and screaming about a mechanic thats been in the game since the beginning, then posting absurd ideas about how to completely stop it is becoming astounding. Its almost disgusting. Its the same song and dance that you stated above.
If you keep yelling the same crap over and over…sooner or later somebody will cave and turn this game into another wasteland.
My statement stands. Those people…who in fact are either not knowing what theyre getting into, or do and are just trying to garner support for their own carebearness….can stay the hell away. Im not a ganker or a pvper, im just a filthy miner….thats it. But, i may just have to take some lessons from the pros here to learn how to gank these whiners out of this game. Good riddance.

There has never, at any point, been even a significant fraction of 2 million concurrent players, which is obvious if you think about what 2 million people actively logged into Eve Online would actually look like. That would be somewhere on the order of 250 people in every system, on average.
You are likely conflating a total account or subscriber account number with concurrent users. Lifetime peak concurrent users was something like 65K.

I have come to the conclusion that “there are too many systems, space is too big” is a misinterpretation of the dynamics that determine player density. It is often said by those dwelling in low quality space - and those that live in better space might find it crowded at the same point of density. It all depends on why you are there in the first place.
Are the other people friendly competition, or are they targets? This will color your outlook on density far more then absolute numbers.

Anyone can claim their main is anything or anyone they want. You made the choice to post on a character with an extremely weak zkill, and your immediate answer to any counter to your own desires is insults and diverting with excuses.

I don’t know how to interpret that though. I don’t know what they mean by ‘seam’ or ‘bridged’, for example. If somebody knows where that drop is coming from, would be interesting to hear it.

The “seam” is where they (mmo-population) switched to a new model. The drop is coming from the way the new model tabulates player counts.

Simplistic stereotyping when you don’t really have a frikin clue what a huge percentage do or don’t do as you have zero stats……is probably the most unchangeable part of human psychology
