This garbage? Here?? Leave it on the fringe reddit where it belongs. He leaves out about a million variables in his ‘research’. If someone feels the need to jump in and out of the same gate 20 times to get a single lock then Merry Christmas! Beyond that it’s just pure uneducated conjecture.
If his theory leads to a method that allows him to reliably reproduce the steps needed to instalock otherwise uncatchable ships, you have to admit the theory sounds plausible. Or at least his method may be worth looking in to.
this is why reddit will always be better than the official forums. you can have people actually discuss things and learn new stuff on reddit. but here, it’s just a bunch of whiney children who are scared of reddit like they’re scared of cloaky campers.
I don’t want to turn this into a reddit vs forums discussion, but I’ve found the forums to be better for a linear discussion and reddit better for the memes and nice stories. Both have their upsides and downsides.
If you want to have a normal discussion you’re out of luck in reddit, where the best argument is not to have an argument at all but to just say what everyone else wishes to hear and downvote everything you don’t want to wish to see in your bubble.
The upside of the downvotes and non-linear commenting section is that it’s easier to find the good posts and not see the bad ones. This forum is often full of bad posts in between the good ones, but I prefer to see and skip bad posts over downvote censorship.
Well usually they have only 1 instalocker, and usually one point or scram, so not sure , but think I did a 3 sec align ceptor with 2 stabs and passive resistances , so if not a whole gang in gate I should have enough stab and tank to survive alpha from instalocker. Dont think non instalocker will be able to lock in time unless than 3 secs… Need more testing.
There’s no real “discussion” to be found here. Just carebears making baseless claims and when asked for proof, sidestepping or even the often used “just do your own research!” admission of defeat.

Reddit’s people can help you solve problems, but if you walk in there with an entitled tone of a pampered child expecting everyone to kneel and kiss your boots, you’ll be laughed out, and for good reason.
You can look at the very reddit thread and see plenty of discussion taking place about how to manage instalock vs instawarp, as well as discussions on how it might be used/countered, etc. taking place. Because they aren’t being a whiney ■■■■■ about it or making dumb claims. And those that do are very rapidly downvoted because their voices are meaningless garbage.
. Not so sure about the second part yet, but it sounds plausible at least.
