That has nothing to do with DDOS. You just have the privilege of participating in the Null Sec big battle experience (by virtue of your system being on the same node as a big battle’s system).

When? Where? Who? There is not any big null battle for months
Could have been this one, it’s consistent with the time frame. Not a huge battle but could certainly have affected other systems on that node.
EVE runs in multiple servers.
Multiple solar systems usually share one server, one ‘node’.
If such a node is very busy, for example because hundreds of players are fighting, the systems on that node will have TIDI, which is a means to slow down the amount of actions that happen on the server so that the server can keep up with everything without issues.
If you weren’t in a big fight you probably were on a solar system that just happened to be on the same node where such a big fight was happening.
CCP usually tries to avoid this where possible. I think Jita has it’s own node and for large fights that are planned in advance it’s possible for the CEOs of large alliances to request CCP to move those systems to special ‘reinforced’ nodes:
