Recently returned after a decade away. According to EveMon, two of my alts both have Cloaking 4, but the time for them to learn Cloaking 5 is 26 days for one and 55 days for the other. Cloaking requires Intelligence and Memory, and the two characters are nearly identical for those skills. The faster character has 22 and 22, while the much slower character has 21 and 21. I doubt that is enough to account for such a large difference. Why does one dude train Cloaking 5 so much faster than the other, considering they both already have Cloaking 4??
is there anything training before cloaking 5 on the second one?
i canāt imagine that one attribute on each one is making a differenceā¦
any boosters currently running on one?
maybe you started cloaking 5 on the first oneā¦
hover over each skill and see how many SP is injected compared to how many total.
like mine is fully trained, so it says 1.536.000/1,536,000

0% complete on both of them.
Neither one of them is training anything currently; other alts are training right now. Iām just looking at EveMon skill browser to see how long it would take to train things.
As for boosters, āboostersā can mean several things. I havenāt picked up any of these new event-related boosters since returning. As for synths or medical boosters, I highly doubt I have any running. How do I double-check that?
If you have a booster active it would be in the top left screen

I have little experience with EveMon but I suspect the problem may be there and not in the game itself.
If youāre wondering why the ātime until trainedā of 80d2h32m in the first picture is much longer than the training time of 25d20h in the second picture, thatās because the skill queue already contains two months of skills before the cloaking skill.

If a booster is active youāll see this icon top left:
And the skills in your skill queue that are affected by the booster have the same icon as well as a >>>> pattern behind them:
Looks like the first is Omega and the second is Alpha, beside the fact that it will be yellowboxed and not trainable in Alpha mode.

Omega/Alpha could very well be the reason, it explains why oneās taking twice as long as the other.
I guess this was just an EveMon thing. The time in game to train the skill is nearly the same for both alts. Thanks for the quick and enthusiastic help! What a community!
