This is exactly what I have said earlier and of course, the people who engage in one of the saddest playstyles, more akin to griefing than anything to do with EVE’s rich universe, become protective over their right to make everyone else’s life difficult without any punishment from the specific space police force that is supposed to act as a deterrent.
And all I have suggested is that if CCP made meting out that punishment, or assisting the catching of offenders a playstyle that was worth ISK rewards comparable to ganking, it could have a huge impact - as would rewarding gankers who then engage in the wider concepts of the game (for example, laundering their goods, avoiding capture/kills, and dealing with the reputational damage of being a ganker), rather than surprise ganking and then gaming that broken system to avoid any meaningful consequences. It’s incredible that these people refuse to accept this would be more fun for almost everyone.
Uedama and similar systems should be the epicentre of this cat and mouse battle between the ‘cops and robbers’, but instead it’s a soulless, kayfabe-breaking, cynical way of breaking the game for others to exploit a dumb, ineffective system that has no counter-playstyle.
That’s not my experience at all. Yes you have edgelords, tryhards and ragers but you have those everywhere. I mostly do solo stuff though, perhaps that’s different.
Bingo, the “why can’t you just leave me alone in this MMO” people.
Why do you care so much about how other people call your play style?
I like null sec gameplay and know how some people think about null sec players. Who cares.
I think every in-game playstyle (besides cheating) is valid and if players want to play a certain way, all the power to them. PvE only? Sure! PvP only? Have fun! Live in wormholes? You do you! Never undock and make money trading? Have fun! Scam people in local chat? Give it a try and I might try to kill your ship for it, but I’m happy that you too play the game. Mine in high sec? No problem! Throw insults? Now you’ve lost me.
It is as you say, we’re mostly all adults. So behave like one. Why is half your post containing insults, curses and censored words?
Yes the last ganker who tried last week actually did try and make the best attempt.
Note I had invited them to my fleet to help them with their warp . I had shared my fitted barge.
I had even mentioned that that don’t n ed a warp scram as I was not leaving the asteroid belt.
I had even truely tried to roleplay with them and when they attacked I knew I was about to tank the gank as I first noticed that the concord clock started as they were still outside optimum blaster range and I knew the asteroid would protect me against the approaching ganker.
I had yanked them in local and mentioned how I felt giddy.
The fleet chat unfortunately was not recorded though the last few had read from this potential friend was Are you Okay?
I think my wordsalad effected the gankers performance as as I was trying to offer them that I could self destruct.
So. Know about asteroids now have huge hit boxes and know how to slip into a belt that kind of sucks for gankers.

When you find a extra large veldpar asteroid you never mine that one but park as close to it as you can that if when a ganker decides to try to grief you n your day off while relaxing out on a bel.
You get to kick sand in their face any they try to pew pew in anger yet they don’t know about the approach angles before trying to pew pew the miner.
It´s called trying to communicate in the same language with the people you talk to. So insults and ■■■■ talking is what eve player understand the most.
