Sadly the all the losers have to do to circumvent being blocked is to have their crap hidden…….
Don’t forget that there’s a remote version. Remote shield repping ![]()
Just curious, why is every one of your posts so incredibly negative? It’s almost as if your entire identity is about being negative.
Might explain the character name.
I have found that in RL it is awful lot to ask of people. Sadly and pathetically more than I care to know. My grandson and granddaughter knows someone that is disabled. have known him for a good 10 or 12 years. Bad car accident on a worksite and all that. He should be on legitimately on SSI. But he does things that is self destructive to his own case. To the point he is on Workmans comp. for now. He acts surprised when the consequences of decisions comes home to roost. It’s mind blowing at times to think that people walk around. Thinking that a bad decision is not going to follow with an all too often bad consequences.
If anything this game should instructive to people that when a making the wrong decision. Inadvertently or by conscience choice. That it is going to have all most with certainty going to have negative consequences.
And before anyone jumps on me. You have no idea of just how much a master of my own self destruction I am in RL. The only difference is that I own my bad decisions. Try not to repeat them. Or at least not do the same blasted thing again. LOL
Umm the only option you have is undocking. That is your only option. PVP is what keeps me in business. Every module, ship, ammo, or weapon that I sell. Is predicated on the fact that a player has either used that ammo or lost the ship and everything on that fit. PVP you only real option is whether you can fight it out right there or be fast enough to get away.
Again PVP in this game is PVP in capital letters. Highsec is only safe if you take in the precautions needed to be able to either get away quickly or stand up and fight. This is not going to change. Highsec is the only area where after you have become that pretty fireball in the sky. The space cops going to show up and make the other pilot into pretty fireworks in the sky. The space cops are not going to protect you or swoop in at the last moment.
I would suggest that you get out of this idea that anywhere in Eve is safe. There is only degrees of safety, but only if you take the precautions and understand the risks of flying anywhere.
Pretend that it’s all real. Are you saying that HS and Concord can’t evolve?
Also, is this image Photoshopped?
I am saying that Concord is doing its job. Highsec is just fine as it is. In fact I see no reason for any of it to change the way you and others would want.
Yes, you disagree and that is fine. At the same time I have yet to see any reason to change my opinion. Eve Online is literally Everyone Versus Everyone Online. This game is about PVP. The main economic driver is the destruction of ships, modules, and structures. What sets this game apart from others is that this game takes a mindset. That you are willing to take risks, to be a self starter, to own the consequences of your decisions. To be willing to lose ships and things.
What keeps getting proposed time and again is turn this game into another vanilla MMO. That people can sit safely in a section of space and not worry about getting shot at. That is not EVE Online. You are only relatively safe in High sec. Aura makes a point of saying that when you leave the tutorial station. And through the entire tutorial what gets said time and again. Is that there is no place that is completely safe.
I do not know what game people think that they were going to play. But the shock is always amusing and at once puzzling. EVE Online is PVP and unlike other games out there. CCP means it. The first time someone shoot at you. The first time you lose a ship. Should not come as a shock. Especially after you have past the 30 day mark.
I really wish they’d just test it for a year—no shooting anyone in +0.5 systems without a war dec, plus max war decs with exponential costs to keep spam in check.
They could wrap it in some epic lore drop, like a new Faction release or the “CONCORD Crackdown” expansion. One year, that’s all.
Then we’d finally kill off all the myths and see the real truth on player retention and profitability.
My bet? Announcement alone brings back 10k old-timers, and way more as they drag their friends in to actually play together.
But nah, it won’t happen. Too many folks profiting off the mess right now—like a corrupt government protecting its cronies. Small group, super loud, always yelling to keep things “just the way they are.”
Wouldn’t make any difference, everyone would just haul in NPC corp alts, or drop corp when they get decced.
Well this has been addressed all ready, I remember when the top ganking corp wardec’ed every corp it could find, Spam Wars, It was fixed and prob doesn’t need any more of a balance change.
Wardecs have always been a mess. Remember Decshield?
If I may ask why rp is seen so frequently in space or when docked in your favourite station?
Is that not normal behaviour for controlling your pilots?
/ now a question for one of James’s strumpet pilots who like to share links to old laws of highsec
@Synthetic_Infomorph how often would it occur for gankers themselves go AFK while standing still in space?
Ie Law of Highsec written by Raptor 2015
2D. “Capsuleers are prohibited from Loitering AFK while in Space “
I was never fortunate enough to be one of James’ strumpets. I was just an on and off again bumper, then unsubbed for a couple years to play World of Warcraft Legion. If he’d asked it of me I would have been happy to comply, of course (just look at that jawline!), but alas that honour was never mine.
Gankers go AFK all the time. There’s a fifteen minute timer after you go criminal. That’s why they write blogs and invite miners into chat channels, gives them something to do while they wait CONCORD out.
Then simply put, this game is not for you. Sorry.
Edit; Well, I’m sorry CCP mislead you.
Chad, if you stop paying them, they’ll go away.
I am retired. When my day of appointments and such are through. I find myself out in a belt. I play some quiet jazz in the background. It reminds of some old times I do not discuss. Mining is relaxing in this game for me. I can watch my overview, tap the dscan, and listen to the sounds of New Eden.. Even as I listen to some jazz in the background. Alway aware and always ready to warp out.
This is a game of where you had better have situational awareness or develop it quick. Because you are going to need it. Whether you are mining, doing exploration, or simply going through a gate.
If you think that for one moment anyone is going to have mercy on you. Outside of your fellow corp brother and sisters. You are playing the very wrong game. This game is hardwired for PVP. There is no way around it. You can not engage in it yourself. That is fine, but that does not mean no one else is going to refrain from it. Far, far from it.
But what about the things they want you to say just to say that you respect them when they enter a system.
