Toxicity and dealing with it

They never stated what you’re supposed to do afterward. Lots of possibilities there hehe…

There’s an old saying in french from around 1790 that says In order to live happily, live hidden.
Nothing new here, known for centuries, if you open your pie hole on the agora, you’d better be ready for the rotten tomatoes. There are no toxic people, only fools who think the public will keep the tomatoes for the next guy.

You report them to GM every time they do something toxic or say something toxic, GM will warn them or ban them if the offence was heavy enough.

Have you looked in the crime and punishment section. You are more than welcome to post a killmail etc or post about something you did.

USING that killmail to make fun of a person or to bring up something stupid they did, is not the same as "zomg!!11 i killed a insert ship with insert ship

now, if you were to have a heavy debate with someone and decide that they are dilusional, and you bring up their zkill to make fun of them… that is a no no.

9. Use of kill reports & chatlogs to troll & flame is prohibited.

Pilots are permitted to post chatlogs and kill reports on the EVE Online forums if it adds to and is relevant to ongoing discussion, however this may not be done to flame, troll, insult, shame or bait other corporations other pilots.

Thanks, now if sticking to the letter of the law then everybody is guilty.

Also the main thing from that FAQ:

These are not hard and fast rules, merely aids to the human judgment of our community. Use these guidelines to keep this a clean, well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

i admit im not perfect…

Well, nobody’s perfect and yes, if everybody followed those guidelines from the FAQ then these forums would certainly be a much better place to visit.

Andski? Is that you?

Funny thing is there’s no more information than on your forum avatar, lol

Maybe you did not do well in math? I will give you a hint…my characters were all alpha still.

Also, you might be bad at logic? I will give you a hint…I did not gank myself.

venture would have been more safer bet…

It makes more sense now.

The FAQ is wrong, obliviously.

To you maybe, to me you just slaughtered my post to oblivion.

Natalie Patrovita :sunglasses:

Probably. But I was in low sec and just went there to get a few low sec ore samples. I saw the cyno appear in system but at the time, I had no idea what that meant. I figured it was some sort of anomaly. When a guy appeared in the belt he did not seem aggressive. Then he got close and a few buddies warped in, scrammed and jammed me. Its not like they did not see all those mining lasers. They knew I was not a threat. And they did not even bother trying to communicate. I guess maybe I have been in Japan too long. I forgot how utterly pathetic some people can be so my guard was down. Blow me up in an unclaimed system while I mine and do it with overwhelming force and not even tell me to get lost first? Its hard for me to compute that. I had to just memorize it. So many players are just complete trash. I don’t think on trash much.

equating someone to tell you to get lost instead of blowing you up for being in losec
is the same as someone telling you they won’t blow you up if you give them isk, and them blowing you up anyway.

Legit gameplay that happened to you. Next time if you are going to go to low, where there is no CONCORD to punish them, plus larger ships than Hisec can have, fit your ships to be tankier or quicker.
