But, and I do hate to admit this, you do have a point with the character bazaar. With skill extractors/injectors there’s little point to it anymore because you can just cash up to what you want anyways. Add plex into the mix and you’ve got instant gratification advancement.
This is all well and good in the hands of the experienced, but in the hands of a newbro it’s a recipe for a painful lesson from Professor Omar. Thing is, precisely because of these things there is a cloud of uncertainty that arises when dealing with any apparent ‘young’ character. And this is where you and I differ on a fundamental level; I assume that any young character flying a ship that’s historically outside of their reach is simply an alt of an experienced player and as such is fully fair game for my particular brand of fuckery, whereas you would advocate leaving them in peace as they most certainly are newbies. Unfortunately, this is EVE despite all of your arguments to the contrary, and it’s safer to presume treachery over ignorance… so shooting the lil guy is now the soup of the day.

After the fact I discovered your stash of no less than 46 more acolyte I’s to bring to bear I was near gobsmacked, had you a chance to deploy that Mobile Depot of yours I would have been befuckered on another level entirely.
Why did I drop in to pay you this little visit? Well, to be blunt, I’ve got this special needs carebear on the forums who’s seemingly bereft of any kind of adult guidance, so I’ve taken it upon myself to demonstrate to him in terms that he can understand the notion of consequences of actions within the game. I’m sorry, but our conflict really amounted to little more than a lesson on how things are and should be for my special little window licker. He believes for some odd reason that we should all be safe in high sec. You obviously disagree, because if you couldn’t shoot at people who steal your metal scraps then who will?
If you want to help me in correcting his wrong minded approach to this glorious dark and gritty game, then by all means. He goes by the name of Balos Tritapo, and if you plead your case to him I’m certain he’d be willing to reimburse your obviously unjust (in his eyes) loss at my hands.

The X must change PvP in order to survive in the modern market is a common theme on the forums/reddits of most PvP games, thankfully the devs of those games seem to know who their target audience are and, for the most part, ignore the whining of those who aren’t capable of dealing with a full PvP environment; because they’re not the people their game is aimed at.

Don’t fix what ain’t broke.
Eve is now one of the longest running mmos. It has survived long after most of its contemporaries died out. And even now with the mmo market still in a slump it’s much healthier in terms of remaining players vs all time peak than any other 10+ year old game.
Eve may not be perfect, there are certainly things that need fixing. But for now at least eve works, I’m not sure if anyone, even the devs know exactly why. But whatever weird combination it’s got has kept it alive far longer than it should have.
That’s not to say changes can’t, or shouldn’t happen. But they need to be done carefully, ripping out training time entirely, or any other drastic change to the underlying formula of the game is far more likely to kill the game than fix it.
Maybe eve will die off next year, maybe in 5 years. Who knows, no matter what it’s had one hell of a run. But it’s far safer to keep it chugging along on whatever formula has been keeping it running for as long as it can. Then to go ripping pieces out of it and risk killing it prematurely or leaving it a shadow of what it was.

This game has had many changes over the years, there is nothing wrong with change, infact i love it when CCP change things up a little, change is good, but the changes you want are game breaking and you do not care or just don’t understand the bad effects these mental changes you call for would cause and how bad they would be for the game.
I’m not furiuos about you, there is not tactics to silence you or scare you away, you’ve been offered help to learn the game, you don’t want help.
