Same here, I’m on the east coast, mass. I can log on only to be disconnected within minutes. Now I don’t even try to log on anymore. I tried yesterday to get back to my home wormhole system and log off and couldn’t even get past the launcher.
For me at least the most aggravating thing is not being able to play will other can. I can’t participate in the skilling spree- though it doesn’t benefit me all that much. I can’t change my skill order if need be to fit doctrine changes, I can’t make any form of profit because I do combat sites for money not indy.
Yeah… Not really playable for me and hasn’t been for a while. My chat died undocking and it tried to disconnect prior to that. I am keeping my toons on ice until this gets worked out. So the skilling thing does me no good on any of my accounts.
How about that, connected, undocked, brought several characters up to date on this and that and shut down voluntarily (supper time). We still have problems; latency a bit high in certain areas, a couple DC’s but was able to log back on fairly quick and three accounts on three monitors all show different numbers of characters on Chat. But here in coastal South Carolina that’s a huge improvement over not being able to log on at all. Here’s hoping CCP has a handle on this thing and we are on the road to normalcy.
How is it that there is 17,000 players online, yet i havent been able to log in since last week monday. Yet the subscription for another 3 months taken without a problem. what kind of f. bulls. is this. No internet connection etc… cant log in. at all. But 41 dollars is way more important. useless f. company.
I would like to add to the dataset that I am in East US, unable to log in/remain connected for at least 5 days, and tracenet shows that I’m getting stopped at Neustar.
Despite some people making unfounded claims that CCP won’t compensate us, or don’t need to, we haven’t heard from CCP on this yet. Let them fix the problem, then tell us what they’ll do about it.
My connectivity to the US is via the west coast, and to Europe via Asia. I wonder if that has something to do with it (some of their links hit, some not). Depending on the scope of the DDoS, this is entirely possible.
I had a stunning thought about this today, I haven’t lost any ships in days. Zkillboard is going to start thinking I know what Im doing all of a sudden and revoke my status as snuggly.
The best part of this is I’m one of the few with nothing to worry about, and no reason to ask CCP for anything other than if they would like us all to send them beer or something when its all over, I suspect they will need it.
So, I tried reporting the chat not working via the bug reporting system, just because I was frustrated. Then I got an error while trying to report my error.
If the forum errors while I’m posting this, I’m a flip this table.
North America is still getting the “connection failed” error. If I use my home internet (Fios, Virginia), this is what happens. If I VPN to the UK, the game responds fine, I can login and play with no issues.
Good news to report.
East coast, Comcast.
I have been online about an hour now. Chat is up and stable.
Lag spikes still happen often, about a 5 second rubber band.
Running little missions in a passive shield tank, still not confident to undock something serious.
EDIT: first time this stable since the DDOS started.
Like the see the culprits responsible GO TO JAIL FOR A GOOD LONG TIME.
It might happen. Sure hope so. Make an example of them.
If I was any good at it I might try and find them myself, for something to do when I cannot play Eve.
But I could not even begin so meah.
Maybe a few IT pro’s out there sick and tired of watching their paid up accounts go unplayable could go on an internet roam. It might be even more fun to gank the hackers.
Comcast here Eastern US. Was able to get on 1 toon for aboutn10 minutes this evening. When I logged the 2nd toon on the first dc’d. Now neither toon can get back on. Hope they have it fixed soon.
This account can’t log in, my alt account can but gets disconnected after about 10-15 minutes. NE Ohio US keep up the hard work guys <3 and thanks for all you are doing.
