I have been having problems connecting and getting dropped and such. I honestly didn’t know of the DDOS attack since I have been offline for a year or so due to real life. hell only recently reactivated my omega and got on just a day or so ago. Thought it was my old wifi card in my desktop but it is nice to know that it is not my hardware. I only have a small job and can’t afford to get better parts for my old machine yet so It sucks that it is a DDOS but it is a financial load off my shoulders that it isn’t my system. lol odd way to say that but it is true. living in a small town in Tenessee in a hotel really sucks!!!
Appreciate the heads up and all the hard work the Devs and others put into this awesome game. I waited a year to get back on so waiting till this is fixed I can do. Till Then!!
Just got disconnected. Right before the disconnect there was a page that opened up in my browser that was titled MSC/redirect. About a minute later, disconnect.

well, that’s the thing about DDOS attacks. It’s an inherent vulnerability of how the internet is designed and operates. When someone targets you for a DDOS, up until a few years ago, all you could do was take your server offline and wait it out, or direct your customer to another address. Cloud infrastucture and virtualized networks have mitigated this weakness somewhat but as a result, attackers have developed more sophisticated attack vectors.

lol but seriously, this makes sense from the consumer perspective but I am not sure how viable it is due to cost. EVE has around 30k accounts online at peak but how many of those accounts are actually paying Omega’s? You can divide that number by at least 2.5 due to alts. You then have a substantial Alpha player base who play for free. You then have the established players who pay for their Omega via playing the content. I doubt if there is more than 5k players who actually pay for their Omega subscription with real money. There’s the injectors ofc but that isn’t a a stable source of revenue.
Everyone that is an Omega pilot deals with Real Money at some point. While people who PLEX their accounts pay no real money out of their pocket, someone bought the PLEX with real money and then placed it in game for it to be sold with ISK.
500 PLEX is 19.99 USD so we’ll just say 20.
So, each account that buys 500 PLEX a month with ISK is actually paying 4.00 USD more a month than someone who just does the straight Monthly Payment of 14.99.
I’ve been playing Eve for 14 years and will probably continue to do so. At least when I can connect to it again that is.
Still its getting very frustrating now that more then a week has gone by.

Удивился, но поскольку на процесс игры это не влияло забыл/забил об этих артефактах. Если нужно и если есть техническая возможность выгрузить логи, могу их предоставить службе поддержки!
EVE Online is finished, When this game was sold to Koreans it started going downhill fast…Never have i known such a depressing load of players as i have now and i started playing in 2007
EVE is a chore to play now not fun one bit, so enjoy your DDOS lol im playing every other game i never played becasue i was playing eve…
