Ran an abyssal site fine until getting ready to leave and was then disconnected.
35 minute total up time.
Can’t log back in now.
Conclusion: Something in the abyssal site mechanic is causing the problem when logged in.
I have lost more ships to disconnects while running abyssal sites due to disconnects than normal PvE.
Well I should rename myself to Murphy, had issues all week, no local, no chats, wont allow login . . .
But you go CCP saying how good it is, is it any wonder subscriptions are dropping off.
Waiting for another bandaid patch to fix a bleeding artery . . .
Mav do you have that phone number for the trucking school simulation game . . .
US Central. Have periodically been able to get in. Super slow when I do. Everything takes ages to open. Undocking is a 3 minute wait at times. Market might not ever open for an entire “session.” I say “session” because disconnects are extremely frequent. In fact, I’ve not logged out of the game by choice once in days.
Thanks for the work to resolve the issues. Here’s another data point:
East Coast USA/Comcast ISP - have not been able to login Sunday or Monday.
Message: Connection Failed >> Network communication between your computer and the EVE Online server has been interrupted. This may be caused by local internet connectivity issues, by a server reboot, or by a temporary network disruption between your location and the EVE Online data center.
Pressing OK on this error, another box pops up saying Logging In >> Authenticating. Have let it sit for > 10 minutes before killing it. Multiple attempts on different PCs yields same results.
Things have gotten worse now its seems. After a week where i have not been able to even play, I attempt to login and the launcher does not even launch the game now, claiming a connectivity issue. Since I am connected to other things and was playing other online games it tends to tell me that it is still a CCP issue and they are simply trying to hide the truth hoping that they can keep too many ppl from jumping ship. I have already spoken to my payment methods for my 6 Omega accounts and have gotten refunds issued after receiving a CCP support ticket that basically told me that “compensation is not guaranteed”, “if compensation is offered it will be decided globally”
It’s not because you don’t have problems connecting to other services than CCP that the fault comes from CCP. Eve online cluster and peripheric servers (such as the channel one) rely on a connexion on which CCP may have absolutely no authority or competence. Imagine you have a website working perfectly in your home, or office server, but your ISP is being attacked and flooded. What would you think if your website customers/visitors say the issue comes from you ? Of course, one can tell ccp just has to rely on another ISP, but sometimes partnerships are so strong and somewhat interdependant that it can’t be done just by changing the ISP
Vloden what you are saying does have truth…however I personally have a background in cybersecurity, web development and game programming, so seeing issues on the surface are not what lead to my judgement. Looking at backend information that I am able to find, piecing together information found from screenshots provided by other users, and working with a group of friends that also play the game allow me to say that alot of this issue does seem to be directly related to CCP. It is possible that the initial issues arose from a DDOS, but the length of time that this has gone on and the complete irregularity makes me lean towards believing that CCP made an attempt to fix the solution and made things worse and instead of admitting this is what happened (if they had admitted it, I honestly would have found that to be more respectable), they continue to blame it on a DDOS.
I have alot of respect for developers and programmers but I am also a paying member (which is unlike a web users looking at a website) and feel that the lack of updates, coupled with the support responses with a total and complete lack of customer service, is not acceptable from any company.
I have had issues with Authenticating, Connecting, Stability and Latency since last Monday and have been unable to play.
I logged on today and failed to authenticated but after 3 attempts I was able to log in from the in game login screen. It was slow to load in after the character select screen and after loading the game the chat channel failed, but did connect on the third attempt. I tried to undock and warp around but I was rubber banding so bad it was unplayable.
I have a paid VPN that I was resistant to using due to the potential issue of having my account banned but after 8 days I really didn’t see any other option.
I connected to the UK and loaded up one of my accounts, it failed to authenticate from the launcher but I had no issues logging in from the in game screen. I selected my character and loaded in with no issues. After playing for about an hour I can say the game and chat are working with no issues and the VPN seems to be working well.
Barcelona, Spain. Some login issues (clicking after “unable to connect” message), but I have been able to do all my station stuff with no problems. Never experienced big issues doing that.
I’m a new player, started this week. I was able to login but no chat for a while. Then chat came back today for the first time. I closed the game for a while and now I’m unable to log back in. I’m in Montreal, Canada.
