I had difficulties with Chat / Logging In etc as all of you. I stumbled on this threat just today. I took the advice to use a VPN-Connection, I use now NordVPN with a server in UK. That solved all my problems.

Today seems to be fairly stable, I havent done any long term gaming but I have been able to log in regularly, and for the time I have been in, without any noticeable lag. No VPN used

As you can see - the chat works. But as at the same time can be online (and not only in the locale but also in the other chat too) 2 characters with ONE ACCOUNT
Chat only worked today after I dns cache cleared then typed in local. Western US, TWC.
Everything in my activity tracker reset to zero today, is that related somehow?
ok there is a trick cause that ā ā ā ā is been happening for a week for me 2
its a window 10 firewall problem the window defender i believe with last STUPID window so called update migrated port 5222 even going as far as disabling the port altogether on the hardware lv!!! meaning the port actually deactivate cause the game, even thru steam, is somehow now rated as a threat by window defender thus your public domain firewallā¦
i manually had to reopen the port and manually re-install the driverā¦ cause all the permission were accorded on my side to my eve i hope this was helpful and i was crashing every 10 min and no chat-box before I tried that and i haven t had a single crash since then !!!

Much the same as for the last few days: both alts logged in ok, little lag but showing different numbers in local. For me, local is essential and I wonāt return to losec without being able to rely on it. Iām now bored with building LP in hisec missions for future faction ammo, so Iāve been working on some expedition frig hunter pairings, almost ready to haul to the edge of a few losec destinations. Now Iām bored with that but all the same, Iām quivering with anticipation at where it might take me once local is fixed. Donāt worry! Iām crap at PvP, always have been. My quivering anticipation will soon become a quivering ring-piece, floating across deep space. Yep, bored enough to want to write this drivel. I am sure CCP are working hard but I really hope they seriously review whatever recent decisions they have made, wrong decisions I suspect, that have brought us all to this thread. I can only take so much boredom, then I would have to return to real life.
@Akaasha_Poutine I tried to tell ppl that a while back then my corpies showed the trust nature of themselves was met with a high dense level of stubborn ignorance.

You are exactly right also in the eve launcher in the settings ( CLICK THE E Left of the Minus ) Then settings then Uncheck Use system configuration for proxy. ( Windows Defender gets in the way of that with the network settings )

Hi Peeps, Still having issues after logging on with the chat channels. I am having to log off and log back in a number of times before the chat channels workā¦ Bummer!!! That goes on all across my four accounts. This is going on for tooo long. Come on get it sorted or you will loose your flock at a critical time.
Since the deployment of the new chat backend with the March 2018 release ā¦ Go back to MIRC ā¦ lol , a wheel is still a wheel even in 2020ā¦ lol
Yes, several times. Does that matter? Iām not sure that activity tracker provides anything other than occasionally kissing my backside. I may be wrong - certainly wouldnāt be for the first time.

Just made a run to Jita and back no problems except lagging at stargates and of course local in every system was

If youāre experiencing chat server problems, try to send something to a chat channel to force a reconnect attempt. A new connection attempt is made for each message sent (be warned that spamming it will create a ton of popups). It might take a minute or two but Iāve so far never failed to reconnect to the chat server by doing this.
Iāve tried that a few times but with both alts in the same station, local still shows different numbers of pilots.
This wonāt fix incongruities in local counts, itās only to get people connected to the server (for those experiencing āError connecting to chat serverā popups).

I have multiple accounts logged in, no connection errors and no need to hit connect after a failure, in fact I logged right in.
Chat works for each account as well.
