I agree this is an issue, that’s why i talked about legit customer anger. Companies can postpone a train trip or a flight, it’s easy it’s a well defined product.
On the other hand on what basis you want CCP to reimburse you? The average time you play per month? what if the DDOS happens at night when you are off? Would it be fair for CCP to reimburse that? How do you calculate the reimbursement?
Except here, you aren’t buying a ticket for a specific departure time. You’re buying access to the trains for a period of time. In that scenario, the train company isn’t actually going to compensate you if the trains don’t run for a few hours during the month. They may do so if large scale trouble persists for a significant time span, but it actually takes quite a lot before they’re obliged to.
There was a time where I couldn’t access EVE for two weeks this year. For CCP that still doesn’t qualify it seems.
Still, can’t connect or if I do, then get disconnected after 20 seconds or so. It’s been over 3 hrs, in my case. Location UK.
We had some SP after that if i remember. SP are time and time is money.
I have 268mil SP on this char. How much do you think I care about an additional 150k in exchange for half a month of play time?

Then the minor bugs, like the faulty “counter” for the “Skillers in the Abyss” event, which persisted for at least two or three days.
But this morning I had a really weird problem. I almost died in a Wormhole, because my Account was for some reason downgraded to the “Alpha” state.
Suddenly I received much more damage from the NPCs then usual. First I was just wondering, but only noticed the downgrade on my way back, when I docked in a Hisec Station for repairs. I saw that I can’t activate my Cloak in the Fitting Window , because I don’t have “Cloaking III”. Further look in the Character Sheet showed that my Clone state was “Alpha” and only the alpha skills were active.
Docked, undocked a few times, and after a few minutes I was an “Omega” again. But I still couldn’t activate my cloak… After some more time has passed, I was finally able to cloak and make my way back to Jita.
I hope, that this kind of stuff doesn’t happen as often, as those DDoS attacks…

This is the first time I recall having a n issue with DDos and ive only been back since corona. Didint used to happen. Been okay all month so hope its not a monthly occurrence.

Yes major changes have to be done from ccp (whith an actual official statement of what’s happening exactly) , but just stop the whining/crying part.
What’s changed is simply that lately, someone or multiple someones have decided that they want to DDOS the Eve server frustratingly frequently. Without a network infrastructure the size of Netflix’s or similar, there’s only so much an entity can do to minimize the disruptions to customers if the ddos attacks are strong and persistent enough.
