Tranquility DDoS - 2020/05/03-08

USA East Coast here. I’m experiencing lag before disconnects.

Edited to add this: The lag I’m referring to is the time between commands, say clicking on a character to read their bio. In addition, I’m having market “lag”, as well. Items I’ve purchased on the market continue to show their market order (sale order) except the order shows 0 (zero) volume, after my purchase. So, the complete market order remains on my market interface, it just changes to show a “zero” number of items available.

Let me start by saying I don’t know anything about computers aside from the on button and the shortcut to eve. However, I have several teens living in my home who are playing their games without interruption and laughed when I told them Eve was down to ddos. What about eve makes it so vulnerable to these attacks?

The speed at which Customer Support responds to Support Tickets is definitely CCP’s fault.

They move slower than Ice melting in the middle of winter.

Maybe it’s because they are busy dealing with the attack on the server, which i would say is more important than a noob losing a ship and getting it reimbursed when they know their are issues with the server…Just a thought.

Customer Support is not the Technical Department in charge of their Internet security systems.

Are they stood on a bridge screaming “you shall not pass” to malformed and to frequent data packets.

Trying to logon from UK here, getting the following error messages:
Connection Failed

Incompatible (Build)

Server: Tranquility
Unable to connect to tranquility.servers.eveonline.com on port 26000

Is this the best place to report login error messages, or is there a better place to do it?

It would be mighty hard to pin point the exact character and person noing this.

Must have been a titanic work.

The fact that it’s a real-time, live sandbox for up to 41,000 players, as of these days.

So still trying to log on from UK. Cant even get through the launcher now - getting error message from the Launcher “client assigned to… unexpectedly closed”

Any other UK based getting the same Problem?

ok this really sucks now … days worth of not being able to log on with 3 diff omega characters … the one alpha account I have can log on and fly around no problem but as soon as I log on with a omega I get disconnected from the sever

If the screwup was to the authentication servers or the communication with the authentication servers . . . .

The “extraordinary claim” here is that there’s a DDoS attack that is invisible to the network security websites that monitor those.

It’s not an extraordinary claim that CCP fouled up a patch.

In fact, it’s pretty much “performing as expected.”

Seems my launcher (in UK) is unable to communicate with the server (in UK) with either my alpha or omega account. not even getting a ‘black screen of death’ with “Tranquility says NO” messages.
All I am getting is “added 1 account to startup queue” followed by “game client assigned to … has closed unexpectedly” Can anyone tell me if this is part of CCP problem or do I have an aditional issue with the launcher at this end??
Any reply or update would be most welcome at the moment, cause apart from the forums, im locked out and dead!
