You’re obviously trolling, but I feel people who read the forums deserve a counterpoint to your crazy claims.
Multiple people including myself have observed network traces showing very conclusively where the traffic drops during connectivity issues. This is very clearly and conclusively a DDoS. Anyone can verify this using simple tools.
Care to share the “security websites” that monitor ongoing DDoS, the data sources that they use, and the scope of their monitoring?
You are spreading unsubstantiated fear, uncertainty, doubt. Not what we need right now.
Edit: Since I’m asking you to show your work - I’ll share mine. This is what a connection drop looks like right now.
Whoa there, Connection is not as good as I thought. I bought a Gold Starter pack over an hour ago, and I have the receipt from 19:43 EVE time. It is 21:03 and no goodies have shown up despite relogging 3 times.
Soooo, maybe you have a problem with connection of the payment server to the game server?
You’re asking me to show that there are NOT indicators on the seven main industry sites that show global DDoS attacks?
You’re kidding right?
Just because YOU show ping problems doesn’t mean there’s an external problem.
CCP is perfectly capable of having messed up their internal server-to-server communication badly enough that they disrupt their own network.
Google “DDoS heatmap” and work out from there. There are six or seven that are very accurate and operate in real time. I won’t list them here and I won’t make a recommendation as to which is the most accurate or relevant (that’d be violating a trust).
But there are companies out there, mostly remediation and anti-virus companies, that post this information publically with both real-time and historical data.
I’ve already cleared the cookies, and reinstalled the client and checked Windows updates. And nothing!!! even the client is not loaded to the end … The logo in the cube is played with itself, and that’s it …
Hello I too lost a ship on a mission, took over a minute for my logi alt to warp to the entry accel gate, but alas to no avail, I have filed a support ticket for that at the time as well. Good luck resolving the server issues though!
I’ve already finished a bottle of bourbon, but the game didn’t load, even the client doesn’t give out an account exporter … it just twists the download …
so now 2 out of the 3 omega accounts I own can log on … but the 3rd … my main … can get threw the launcher and select his character … my 2 alts show him connect … then disconnect … I would really like to get my ship at least docked
Condescending non-answer to a legitimate question on sources you used to reach your conclusion.
From my end, I’m using publicly available Hurricane Electric looking glass service to check routes from various he.net routers to CCP Tranquility. Makes it easy to see which geographic region is affected, and where traffic drops. You sound like a competent person so I’m not explaining this to you but showing my work for interest of whoever may read this.
YES! Now we’re getting somewhere.
NTT mitigation service is dropping packets…
What could be causing A DDoS mitigation service to - intermittently and unpredictably - over-aggressively filter traffic? Denying service to clients who happen to hit that route?
For the record, next hop should be siteprotect.security.neustar.
And now we’re back to unsubstantiated speculation.
so my 2 alts log in fine … no problem … I cant even get my main to stay logged in for more than 5 sec befor it says " Network communication between your computer and the EVE Online server has been interrupted.
This may be caused by local internet connectivity issues, by a server reboot, or by a temporary network disruption between your location and the EVE Online data center." but my other 2 characters are setting in dock lol
