Translating Triglavian in Crimson Harvest Update

Hey there! Newbie here, my apologies if this is not the optimal forum;

Just for fun, I had a go at translating the Triglavian glyphs in latest update:

It spells:

“Poshlost invader vessels are now-time threat.”

“unproven vessel has achieved extirpation of the…”

It leaves a potential mystery the highlighted letters.. it could be just a graphical feature.. but..

Well, based on the Warpath event, maybe some of this text will end up in the info box of the Akoman battlecruiser. Nice work!

Fun fact: Transliteration is the attempt to represent the text of one language in the writing system of another. (Wikipedia)

So, not translation, but transliteration. The text is “English” but using the Triglavian writing system.

Many thanks haha! I actually did want to use transliteration but wasn’t sure if it was a “false-friend” word from my native language to English  Ty for pointing it out

here is source material by ex-FC lore dev, then CCP Demiurge, who designed the Triglavian glyphs:

there are links to png and font files in the material description, you can install in your system to write Triglavian messages in text editors or graphic editing software

Edit:
There is another set of glyphs used, since some time. I think it’s called Upwell script.
here is a link to thread discussion on it when it appeared in-game few months ago:

Ty for sharing the links and background! Installing the font is super cool haha >

I love how the letter T of the Triglavian alphabet is the mascot glyph

Good effort, Damien. I didn’t know that the glyphs were just a different alphabet for the same language. FC made it too easy. Given there are many words of Slavic origin, it would be more fun to give Trigs one of the Slavic languages and map the glyphs to Cyrillic alphabet

Fun fact! Was trying to find a username for some networked game, and searching for names made me find:

So indeed haha  Tons of slavic inspiration. I will admit that there’s a wellspring of absolutely awesome names.. I mean.. how cool is it to have a ship named Naglfar

In case you haven’t seen this yet:

I don’t assume his assessment is wrong but maybe you can figure out more from the symbols or just confirm his investigation results.

Just thought you might be interested.
