Trig Invasion moved to low-sec now its hard to find an invaded system s that have 08 sec rateing or above

Wow, lots of hate for a legit issue. The content requires a ship on the blingier side and for most of those ships going through low-sec is a death sentence. This has less to do with being scared and more to do with it not being cost effective. The risk is high from the content alone, add the risk of gank or gate camp and people simply won’t attempt it.

The original attempt (or at least perceived) with this content was to engage new high sec players higher end PVE content and divert Incursion runners into new more dynamic content. The trig content requires some bling and more expensive ships, which these type of players aren’t going to risk to low sec. Especially when the payout doesn’t really match the difficulty. The payout vs difficult did however match up to highsec levels.

“legit issue”

The only issue here is the guy with the victim complex making stupid decisions and then demanding everyone else adapts around his lack of self responsibility. He demands the game to be changed for everyone because he’s a chicken ■■■■ who doesn’t want to leave 0.8 space.

Tell you what … we can still gank him in 0.8 or higher.

His attitude is literally making himself a big, fat target.

Wow this poked a sore spot in some bittervetis. Or it could be that the content requires a rather blingy fit to accomplish and if there is only 1-2 of those systems running the content gankers know where you will be. There is a difference between risk adverse and risk stupid. To prevent the ganker risk requires a fleet, which the content’s profit doesn’t warrant. Therefor people just don’t do the content, which is sad because it’s fun.

Dear OP,

Buy yourself some dignity, a spine, brains and sense for self responsibility. Thanks to your lack of foresight you not only ruined your game for yourself, in your disney princessesque way of being a completely thoughtless brat driven by lower instincts, you also made yourself a big fat target who’s name is going through locator agents.

What in the world made you think posting this was a good idea?
Oh … wait, I know! You didn’t think at all.

Yours truly,
your future KillMail.

Hmmmm…

Maybe, just MAYBE, if you didn’t play the MULTIPLAYER game SOLO.

You would not need to overbling the ■■■■ out of everything to do anything.

But what do i know?

Feel free to bring 2-3 friends to do the content in cheap ships and watch the trigs shred you. Anything more than that and the payout isn’t worth your friend’s time. At the end of the day if there is only 2 sites in HS mainland with the content available, that’s where the gankers will be. If they can pop your 300m ships with 20m of catalysts it’s still worth their time.

Who needs fun when theyh can have a bigger paycheck?

Right?

We’re all playing to get rich.

If you’re doing PvE the paycheck is a large part, if not all, of the draw.

Thats why you should not bring a multi-billion fit to do those sites.

Who taught you risk assessment?

if you can take 1/30 the risk for 1/7 the profit.

That seems really profitable for me in the long run.

You don’t need to take the risk out of the game.

? Who said take risk out of the game? The risk needs to be worth the reward, which with 2 HS locations in .5 and .6 space it’s not worth the risk. Read above where I say you can take 3 people with 300m ships but it’s likely to not be pretty. Meanwhile, the site only pays out 1k DED LP + 15 mil ISK + loot and salvage. Loot ninja’s can freely grab your salvage and rando’s can come in, blap a ship, and diminish your profits.

Ok bro.

The only worthwhile reason to do anything in EvE is for enjoyment. The real-world value of isk means it’s rather foolish to do anything in EvE just for the isk.

They’re ninja salvagers, not ninja looters.
They don’t take loot, they salvage.
It’s not your salvage unless you salvaged it.

Even if you apparently fail at Life itself,
please at least get the most basic terms right.

Thank you.

Thank you for seeing my point Dragos, I never was good at expressing myself in writing and I say u did a great job summing it up. I’m not going to justify any of the stupid immature comments that appeared in this thread, or how close some come to violating the eula, I will however comment on the fact that I am basically a new bro and this is my first time posting anything. ( and my last…) It’s no wonder your new player retention is so poor. All the " dear OP’s " and sarcastic belittling/threats and mockery, said to one of those needed to keep the game going, to someone who hasn’t even played a year… go fuk yourselves!!!

@Zanthanee_Lazar unfortunately you are stuck on several fallacies.

The reality is that you are not significantly safer in a .8 system from a .5 If people are intent on ganking you they can do so easily in a 1.0 system. This is a dumb reason to not run invasion content.

Second, you do not NEED a super blingy ship to run invasions. There are lots of fleets running with not super expensive fits and they do fine.

So ultimately your misgivings about going below .8 sec systems is yours and not based in actual reality.

Look back at rule #1: Don’t fly what you can’t afford to lose. You consent to PVP whenever you click the undock button. Whenever you undock in someone expensive, you should assume that someone nearby has figured out how many ships are needed to gank you before CONCORD shows up and what kind of ships can do it most cost-effectively (Talos, Catalyst, Thrasher, and Tornado being the most common). You are no safer in 0.8 and higher than 0.5, and you might be safer in certain Low or Null pockets because of less traffic through most of those systems. If you don’t think that your blingy battleship is safe enough for an activity, find something else to do.

I’ve been running invasions as one of my major sources of income for the past few weeks. Most expensive ship that I’ve used is well under a billion. And the Low-Sec sites are even more lucrative. You don’t need that fancy, blingy battleship.

Anyone want to come up with an estimate of what you need to take out an officer-fit Rattlesnake in 1.0 to show OP how unsafe he actually is? And how cheap the relevant fleet would be?
