This is an absolutely horrible fit, and will get you killed by a Triglavian recon squad. When flying a T1 industrial ship, you need to be able to not just tank, but also able to GTFO. Not only do those Reinforced bulkheads nerf your cargo capacity, they also kill your ship’s agility which increases it’s align time. This is not what you want when you have several hundred incoming DPS.
Ditch the reinforced bulkheads and replace them with Inertial Stabilizer II’s to get to warp faster. Swap the Medium Shield Extender II for a Large module. I’m not for sure why this fit has Shield and cap boosters in the mids, when an epithal only has 4 mid slots. If you know the incoming damage type from Triglavians you can tank for that specifically. Pesonally I would consider droping in a kinetic damage resistance amplifier module in my mids, although two shields extenders and fields might be better.
Going with three defense field extenders can work, but personally I might consider doing a low friction nozzle rig for more agility, and possibly an EM ward rig.
Hey bro you do realize that Bulkheads don’t affect specialized cargo bays, such as planetary commodities… right? The Epithal only has a few hundred m3 ship cargo. No one is hauling PI in the Epithal’s ship cargo. The PI goes in the planetary commodities bay.
The reason there’s shield and cap boosters is because that’s how Ancillary reppers work. Look into that.
The fit is fine. If my bulkhead Procurer with 20kEHP can get out of a trig gank with more than 75% shield, so will this Epithal fit.
The fit is fine, you just don’t understand some game mechanics.
Actually to be honest, I have never used an ancillary shield booster module on any of my industrial ships and the principle behind their operation is not very well documented. But I get it now. If I am correct, these modules are active give a quick boost to your shields every so many seconds and consume cap batteries as “fuel”. This runs counter to my typical fits which have been geared more towards resisting getting alpha’d by gankers. Coupled with high resists I can see how one of these modules could definitely keep a player alive during prolonged attack by Triglavians.
I will have a generous helping of crow on adding such a module into a fit, but still like my Istabs.
sound down, not looking at the screen = AFK doesn’t matter a feck how long you did it for.
you need help, join a corp with people willing to show you the way. you never do PI at the poco.
if only you didn’t have your sound down and looking at another feckin screen. you might still have that 100m.
learn how to play the game, you need to hang with people who are willing to help you not feck up.
but i get the feeling you’ll still have sound down and eyes elsewhere. prove me wrong
way to go quitter games too hard, just give up, it’s not for you, or, prove us all wrong and stick around and master the game.
Well, that’s not something you see everyday on the EVE forums.
Yes, there are ancil shield boosters and ancil armor reppers; they both use charges (cap boosters and nanite repair paste, respectively) but function a little differently. There are even remote rep versions of each.
Still waiting for ancil hull reps. CCPlease
But yeah I’ll probably be switching my Epithal fits now cuz those LSEs are smexy
That said, if you’re already making it out without losing shield, I’d suggest you replace your bulkheads with nanos. You’ll GTFO faster, while still having the same (edit: shield) buffer and specialized cargo capacity. Plus your normal operation will be easier because it’ll get into warp faster.
Sorry OP, but you yourself have been make the issues not the Trig Scouts.
If you’re having trouble with these you have a large learning curve before you go into the other Secs.
Golden rule is NEVER TURN VOLUME DOWN OR OFF IF IN SPACE, and IF YOU UNDOCK YOU ACCEPT YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR SHIP, these are the golden rule of EVE.
Since the Trig Scouts have been running, no one i know have lost a ship to them, some might get pissed due to having to warp away from site, but if there’s enough ships in the location the Trig Scouts don’t last long.
You know…according to the 4% noobs that still stay in the game after the first month in CCP’s own statistics the OVERWHELIMING majority of todays players don’t want “danger” or “challenge” inside their playing experience…
MAYBEY(just maybe) CCP should go for the 96% and not the 4%?
I mean if you want high to just be a great big Charmin-soft newbie zone, that’s fine, just remove anything of value from it, but complaining that any degree of challenge might exist in highsec is the type of juvenile claptrap that could only come from you.
