I’m hoping that CCP doesn’t completely drop the ball on this, but I’m prepared to be majorly disappointed by whatever they do.
They teased big things, but I’m worried that at the end of the day, it’ll just be “and then the Triglavians peacefully decided to settle in these systems and all was good with the 4 factions once and for all”, leaving us with nothing new and just a couple of Trig flavored systems.
But you have experience in being unsafe, and killing capsuleers in low sec. That is why I am thinking more organizations will have to arise, defending High sec. PvP corps in caldari space for example.
I’d say we are a different kind of militia rather than pirates. The main difference being that right now our fight has influence over the security status of the systems. We even have an opposing faction.
EDENCOM primarily, and then litterally everyone else.
We’ll see. I think there’s a great portion of traders who might have been ignoring the invasion content so far but will alarm clock for Edencom fleets should Niarja be threatened with becoming nullsec.
Honestly if ccp follows the lore of the trigs, the systems that fall to the trig will eventually disappear once they suck all the energy from the sun in that system or suns. Which also means the Jump gates in that system will cease to function.
That doesn’t benefit anyone in the game. Doesn’t benefit the pirates, care bears or anyone that needs to travel from one empire to another.
Hoboleaks have a new icon for a triglavian station, like the one in the quadrant trailer.
If the gates go down it will likely be an effort to remove empire controlled entry points to the system. I strongly suspect there will be an alternative entry methods to these systems. But it will likely be a copy paste of a stargate/wormhole that has a triglavian flavor to it. Kybernauts were promised entry to the “Ancient Domain” and I believe these systems will contain the method to access said domain.
