[Triglavian Invasion] Otela Falls! Caldari State loses second star system to the Triglavian Collective in less than a week

If anyone wants a copy of the screenshots let me know.

The full set makes for some salty reading

That is like asking me to discuss the balance of the fight between the Goons and Test, or perhaps that attack on the Keepstar in Perimeter earlier.

Those players who operated out of Otela are interested about Otela. What should have happened is that it was correctly balanced from the off, that is it.

Good you removed them.

We got like 1% or 1.5% on the bar and the site respawned in an hour or two. Probably like two, but I wasn’t paying close attention (was just seeing if it did in fact, respawn).

The individual payout wasn’t much better than flashpoints, but it’s much harder and takes much longer.

All-in-all, the main reason to fight it is to be able to say you beat it. It gives a lot of EDENCOM faction standing too. Like, a lot.

On point.

Losing all your stuff in game you worked so hard to get is quite a thing, no? Thats what pro trigs want to happen in those systems tho. Just take what you make.

With all these people that have been affected and lost so much you would think that people would be rushing to join your ranks.

…smh…

Maybe the local population can get off of their butts and defend their systems next time. EDENCOM gets burnt on doing work that should be done by the local systems.

EDENCOM should also be paid to be hired to defend a system against Kybers and Trigs. If there isn’t any pay from the locals then the locals know where Jita is, that is an assured fit for any local system under Trig/Kyber attack.

EDENCOM has done a lot, time for the locals to take up arms and defend what is there own.

Otela is a prime example of the not up to speed leadership of EDENCOM. EDENCOM cannot be in every system, but can only focus on the most important ones. The only way for EDENCOM to continue to win is to send top level diplomats to minor systems, systems that are of primary focus and are in Stellar stage, along with competent Fleet Commanders, from the ranks of EDENCOM, to build local fleets from the population.

Good luck with that.

Pretty much. It’s honestly really funny when we lose a reconnaissance stage and all the afk Orcas get popped in liminality.

Maybe this is CCP and Thier new anti bot program.

At least we wait to lowsec rules kick in to start the culling.

I should make a bunch of catalyst to sell in the next system.

The roaming trigs were doing that just fine before the invasion came about…

I mean, I had fun with the suicide ganks. Those were also hilarious. Especially the ones we screwed up and failed. Also, for the record, I wasn’t being sarcastic. The Orca ganks are honestly funny.

This event was three First time I’ve ever suicide ganked in the game. It’s not as fun as getting to straight up fight you guys in low sec and liminality, but it’s more fun than any other high sec role in the fleet. Heh

The catalysts are usually brought in from elsewhere, though.

Unless you’re implying that suicide ganking is somehow not a valid tactic. I strongly disagree if that’s the case. The main point of the game is pretty much about shooting each other under different rulesets, imo. What changes is the who, why, and where. I answer those questions via RP and my RP puts ‘Triglavian supporters’ in my ‘who’ category.

Kinda already answered that.

CCP why you hate Caldari?

The Kybernauts still do not grasp the absurd advantage they have in this. On no notice at all people must defend their homes for 24-96 hours constantly or lose everything they have built there. Losing costs the residents everything, but the Kybernauts risk almost nothing. If they lose its just an opportunity cost. Their assets sit safe disguised in shell corporations as they conquer others from their own unwardecable safety.

Has it become just a moneygrab? Flip a system and blow up all the assets for loot? I hope not, the ideals of the “collective” would seem like a hollow sham to cover for the actions that put people out of their homes for the sake of wealth.

Your ignorance amuses me.

You realize every time we make a system go liminal WE become attackable just like everyone else in the system. We have no say in where our efforts go and every single one of must relocate every time we wish to engage with an invasion. Our progress itself is at risk and is contestable at any point even before liminality. We would drop structures if they would benefit us as all but the truth is we are not ABLE to anchor ourselves anywhere with any discernible benefit. Also it’s not just Kybernauts fighting you, it is many characters from many various backgrounds that join us. Wardeccing one or all simply would not help you as we operate in a similar manner to incursions.

We are not safe, just as you are not able to remain safe hiding behind proxy wardecs to impede us.

This WOULD be a good idea if we were able to choose which systems we attack as well as which systems would go liminal. The truth is the scope for liminality is actually quite small and the NPCs are the ones that decide when and where, the players decide if they succeed. Everything that was killed by us after liminality was opportuinstic, not planned.

In terms of reward though we still don’t know what we are getting for our efforts but will likely find out once the trigs decide to start dropping their structures in liminal systems and when we are granted access to this “Ancient Domain”
