If you get your hauler killed at a POCO, fit a higgs rig and whatever else lowers your max velocity and stay aligned.

In spite of some toxicity and endless debates, but also inspiring generosity and acts of genuine helpfulness, it has been a pleasure to continue to visit one of the most intelligent gaming communities I have ever come across. (Hopefully that doesn’t become an issue of endless debate… 
)
Then why are you coming to the forums? The forums are the hangouts of the social rejects not even people on reddit want to be dealing with. That’s why they’re here. If you want intelligent discourse, reddit is better.
There might be tons of idiots there as well, but they at least can’t derail conversations like the real life losers do here every time. People like DMC, Anderson, Kell, Balos, simply can’t interfere with good conversations there, which is why they post here.
This place here is for the trash and those who apparently don’t realize they’re talking to trash.

I have some agreement here, but perhaps I’m a social reject myself and curious about such viewpoints, even if I don’t necessarily agree with them. Sometimes you have to see the extremes to find the center. I don’t even block trolls in Corp chat, for the rare occasion that they may say something amusing.
I’ve viewed reddit for EVE and other stuff, their format doesn’t really agree with me for some reason. Plus I like the format here, and the char portraits are nice to see (your portrait is very cool btw, as well as just a very few off the top of my head - Karak Terrel, Solecist, Iceacid, and Solonius, even tho he only ever disagrees with me… 
)
Just because people disagree doesn’t mean that only one side has intelligent discourse. DMC with his “The Plan” and Anderson has contributed a lot of math and data on EVE (for which I’ve utilized but don’t recall ever thanking them, so if either of you are reading this, thanks!).
Even Kell and Balos have good arguments that apply to other MMO’s, I just don’t agree that their arguments apply to EVE. However, there may be a good purpose to the endless debates that keep getting dredged up as they are presented anew continually to new readers to the forums (Sorry that veteran readers get sick of them). Even for myself, in the beginning I only knew that I kept returning to EVE because of something, something, danger, something… After seeing these debates over and over, I have come to my own personal view that I return because there is no endgame in EVE. Every PvE game I’ve played you eventually get the biggest ship, with the most badass fittings and instantly you’re in god mode and the game loses its luster. In EVE there is no such thing, there is always a bigger fish(es).
We’ll probably have to agree to disagree here, but again, thanks for the Happy cake day wishes.

You’re not. You don’t spend time demonizing people just because you hate them. You don’t endlessly insist on ■■■■■■■■ not actually relevant outside of the minds of people who are stuck at details. Having opinions is fine, but constantly trying to shove them onto everyone is ■■■■■■■■. Salvos, Balos, Anderson … you know them.
Again, it’s not about having an opinion, it’s about the behaviour behind it. Words aren’t the problem. Balos manages to get everyone riled up with the way he communicates, which is actually hilarious. It would be better if the forum had a way of splitting people off of “main threads” if they insist on continuously talking to each other. They can and should be able to do so, but that shouldn’t happen at the cost of everyone else, which is what’s mostly going on.

bot people and CCp are playing a silly game…On one hand bot spoil the game but on other hand they subscribe …even when you signal people with 8 toons with same name and close same age they strictly do NOTHING …and don’t make me believe you can easily mine controling 8 toons at the same time… …so yeah they want to get rid of bot but not that much …and tbh it s always fun to loot an AFK orca mining in a belt after a triglavian roam

All those people who kept showing the mails of how a reported bot as been taken care of, and confirming the absense of said reported bot, disagree.
You actually can. Man in my group does that. It’s pretty easy if you just time it right. It’s just mining. It should be a warning to you, that you rather believe someone is a bot, despite evidence of the contrary. Worse, you do not consider the evidence as evidence.
You rather believe that someone you report as a bot is a bot, despite him not being banned. You ignore that, just like you ignore all those people who get confirmation for bans based on their reports. That’s dumb. Plain and simply dumb. Get your act together.

No offense but …started 8 years ago and keep seeing same people …same alts same stuff since ages…so no i m not convinced at all and as even today i saw the same pack of people botting in the same belt with same account …tho people who even brag on com that they were botting …and who are still doing it.Sorry but no CCP does not do the full job about bot.
Ok it s easy to mine …take two hulk in a mining op use tech II strip miner with crystal and hold the line switching crystal not mining same rock than you friend are doing filling the fleet bay with your ore without running out of space without wasting a miner cycle. You just won’t last long before one of your toons stop mining .And i did it with two hulk in the past …now sure i could mine with ten venture evenuatly paying for ten account …but what is the point paying bunch of account to mine more and get more ISK …Buy directly plex and have fun …Some pople just turn that aspect of game into a full time job activity i hate it …when you just wait to log and find nothing to mine to build few stuff for your need i just wish i could summon armada of triglavian to gank their butt off belt.
Two hulks? Seven covetors with orca support, max yield, mostly small rocks or bigger rocks in union, always moving forward at eight meters per second. At this rate, the click rate of mining is comparable to playing a real time strategy game and actually engaging and challenging, but also quite mentally draining. Not gonna lie, it’s not for everyone.
I’m sure there are always people who slip through the cracks. It’s just statistically impossible for every single reported bot to actually get caught. That’s how it is. What helps is making more and more noise about them. The bot detection system requires people to report them and when it fails, it requires people to put CCP’s attention to it manually, so they can improve their system.
yes you’ll be doing it for 10 minute…so mining full speed for 10 minute is pointless as the minute after you ll resume to mess with toons cylce and stuff

So not quiet sure they are actively working to stop botting .
The fact that they show up at COs (huge hotbed of botting right there) and not in anomalies (where nobody ever, ever, bots) does prove that this was a hasty and poorly implemented change. Lowest effort for desired effect.
