Unblind the stations and restore warp core stabilizers to their original state

So we have to create yet another Omega account just to have a Stabber on hand to stop ganking? That’s not a counter. A better use would be to have a logi on hand, but still- no counter to the actual bumping when there are modules already in game that can be fitted to a ship that don’t exploit Concord rules.

Nooo…the Fleet Issue Stabber was the bumper…and a fleet of 4 Catalysts ganked it. Excellent timing. I’m simply pointing out that there isn’t ‘no counter’

I’m not saying the bumped ship should destroy the bumper, I’m talking about other characters in other ships. Sacrificial ships if it’s a criminal attack in HS.

You’re not supposed to solve everything on your own, solo. This is an MMO. Other players can help you, can save you and their existence is part of the balance.

People can kill that bumper, therefore it is counterable.

Sorry, I must have been unclear.

I was not saying that change is unhealthy for the game.

I was saying that that change, i.e. the change of allowing players to scout outside NPC stations without counter, is unhealthy for the game.

i agree, i don’t believe that stations should allow anyone to see outside of it… structures, has its limited use to allowing people see “outside” but with no actual information on ships..i think thats good enough for them.. stations don’t need that.. otherwise a bunch of alts parked in jita 4-4 would constantly be looking out and not actually have any information on what ships or who is entering/leaving.

Wow.. I never thought I’d see a game where looking out the window would be considered too much intel

Especially since there’s a 3rd party app that’s allowed in this game that’s actually called “intel” and will actually track quite a bit. There is even a website that will report ship kills in the last several hours gate by gate across all of New Eden. And the ever famous Intel channel.

But looking out the window! That crosses the line!

This app is allowed by CCP.

Edit: I’m actually very pro-tracking and all forms of Intel. I’m just wondering why windows are frowned upon.

Should CCP change all of their API formats so that there is no more kill board or intel channel or gate camp reports? I’m just curious where the line is. It would all be really easy to do. If they simply turn off the API, all we’d be left with is local. I’m curious if this would be a viable option or something that needs to happen- sort of a New Eden return to the dark ages.

… especially when one can put cloaked alt some 100km off undock and see it clearly. And then distribute intel to any desired amount of players.

If the undock alt is cloaked. And there is no reason not to, then there is no counter either. Maybe in nullsec if he is afk and streaming which they usually are and do.

Cloaked alts that remain in system for 24 hours a day are easily caught with a mobile observatory.

You don’t need to keep an alt active 24 hours a day to check if there’s someone on undock. The question was precisely about it.

One can swich alt every so often to accomplish that too since EVE players are allowed unlimited amounts of alts.

It could be somewhere in between that you can have only one module but they should release the activation mechanism, so that its a passive bonus and then add the faction module as mentioned in your post to the game.

Why do you want it to be a passive module again?

I love that it was turned into an active module with cooldown, as this makes it strong at escaping but much less useful for AFK players, multiboxers or within longer combat engagements.

The module already hammers your targetting range when you equip one. That’s already a good enough offset to the bonus in my opinion. Besides there are ships that give a flat bonus without the module. The SoCT frigate being a recent addition.

But why do you want it to be passive?

It doenst add anything meaningfull in my opinion.

Um…you DO realize that you can undock and be safe ( invulnerable ) for an entire 30 seconds and look around ? Plus even after that if anyone targets you…you can simply re-dock.

I didn’t actually. I’ve never been in a position where that had to be put to the test. I do now though. But yeah, so there’s nothing wrong with looking outside

Can anyone name a station in any science fiction work, be it book, tv series or movie, that doesn’t have any window?
Even the ISS, built in the dawn of man’s space faring time, has windows.

Not only do they all have windows, but they all have advanced sensors that can detail every single ship that’s nearby.
