That’s a good point. How are salvage drones affected by this change?
Fromt he OP, the change seems to only affect combat and E-WAR drones.
Will mining drones have a rework too?
BTW, if you are salvaging, why not use actual salvagers…?
I am not a ratter, never have been, I find it incredibly dull and boring already, so really couldn’t care less for these changes tbh.
However, all I see is this encouraging bots, non bot players who have multi boxing krab accounts unsubbing in droves and less people ratting coz 99% of krabs already find ratting dull, but do it as their main source of income.
This just looks like another ploy by ccp to have people buy plex, especially by those who do rat as their main source of income.
I have a huge issue with bots, but I don’t have an issue with afk ratters, makes them easier to catch and kill tbh, if a player wants to afk rat, then that is the risk they take, let them feed killboards as far as I’m concerned.
Totally understand the drive for wanting people at their keyboard pressing buttons, but all you’re really going to achieve here is less ratters, because even krabbers know it’s boredom central already, which will then lead to less krabs to kill by the pvp players, and more accounts unsubbing.
Where is the isk to fund buy orders for PLEX coming from?
This is a very good thing.
this is realy a bad idea,
ess…drones…what more stuppid thing you gona do?
i think the end off this year you gona lose a lot off people stopping from playing
If you want no targets in nullsec, if you’re dumb and cannot consider consequences, and if you want eve to die, this change might seem perfect.
AFK bot-like players aren’t really targets. Either they die helplessly and aren’t fun to kill because they’re AFK or they’re paying attention and dock up as soon as you enter local because they’re farmers and refuse to do anything but farm. I would much rather have fewer players in nullsec but a higher proportion of them be legitimate and actively engaged.
Shouldn’t that be “We want more small competent alliances in null sec, that can hold their ground, instead of being a corp or two trying to establish a mining or ratting OP, and get butthurt when their space is taken after they spend time and money upgrading it for us for free.”
My point was, if an alliance can’t muster even 100 players online to defend their space, then maybe they should start in NPC null, low, or even high sec, until they are structured and organized enough to the point where they can hold their ground against already established competitors.
what happens in nullsec is inconsequent to 95% of the playerbase
Engaged in what? Trying to kick your stupid cowardly ready-to-filament-out-the-second-response-lands ass?
This change will achieve one thing - more bots. If you think this is good, well, sucks to be you and around you.
Engaged in anything. This change does literally nothing to you unless you are AFK farming. If you are actively playing the game there is zero difference.
Trying to kick your stupid cowardly ready-to-filament-out-the-second-response-lands ass?
Ah yes, back to your obsession with filaments. Perhaps you should get better at baiting so you can catch more of them?
He means buying Plex with credit card and turn into isk
You do understand that the ISK you turn the PLEX into comes from another player, right? For this system to work you have to have players making lots of surplus ISK that they’re willing to spend on subscription payments instead of in-game assets. And once you understand that there is still a supply of ISK the question becomes why you are whining on the forum about how difficult everything is instead of figuring out how to claim that ISK.
Yep, and if everyone starts to do that in droves, it will deflate the price of PLEX, until it isn’t viable to buy and sell PLEX anymore, as everyone else is doing it, and no one is actively out generating any isk.
One can put their tinfoil hat and say CCP can simply put NPC orders to keep PLEX prices stable, but let’s not go there, as the moment any truth of that matter goes out, CCP and the game are truly finished, so I’d hope they would think twice before doing anything that stupid.
CCP’s next move: Buying ships and stuff with PLEX directly, so nobody cares about your ISK anymore. But you gonna spin that into your idiot narrative somehow anyway, I’m sure.
That already happened before, mate.
Nice one CCP, and long overdue.
Good. Deal with it ratters.
