Great change

If you can’t replace your ships because there is no viable way of making ISK in your home regions, most players would probably just quit at that point.

Thanks

guessing u a nullsec pveer

People did plenty of PvP before the ISK faucets reached their recent peak. Please do not engage in revisionist history to justify your demands for buffs to your menial farming grind.

Or join a Corp with a SRP.

Or, you know, go along with Unspoken Rule #1, and fly something they can afford to lose, instead fo some bling fits for lols.

No one will complain about more frigate or cheap ship roams and small scale PvP that so many yearn for when people resort to that later down the line.

Much easier to replace a 2Mish fit than a 200Mish fit.

Affording to roam 100 times more sounds much better.

Not at the level we do now. I lived in Omist in 2009 and many players in my alliance had to have lvl 4 mission running alts to keep income flowing because there was no upgrade system and soon after downtime all the anoms and sigs were used up (they would respawn but there just wasn’t enough to go around, thus the “chaining belts” people had to do, and there weren’t enough belts for everyone),

The system upgrade change made living in null possible in a way it just wasn’t before. It meant that players could “live” where they played. I doesn’t seem like there is a lot CCP employees left from that time, thus the changes that seem to ignore the WHY of it all.

This change is just encouraging player to use more bots. And make those “good guy” feel disappointed. If this change would come live, At least I will think about the possibility of using bots. Though I haven’t play this game for a long time.

“Back in my day…”

You even mention in your post how hard it was to generate income back then.

Now there’s plenty of faucets to choose from.

CCP is simply fixing one of the broken faucets, where a single person could let a few gallons to collect water while they go do something else, and return when they are full, without even holding down the button to let the water flow out.

If you still prefer using this faucet, there’s no issue in doing so, but now you actually need to hold down the button to let the water flow.

It might be harder filling multiple gallons at the same time if you don’t switch between them properly now, but yeah, you are still capable of doing it if you want to.

Previous change of ESS is a good chance to increase PVP activity. CCP should just take this chance to encourge player to more PVP, not just making PVE even more annoying.

Awesome update! Anything that gets people having to actually play the game is a good thing. Plus a great way to clamp down on the ISK making machine that is AFK farming and ratting.

@CCP_Paradox

Now that players are forced to be fully interactive during ratting, there is no reason why CCP cannot:

  1. Add a “Am i a human” minigames to break botting code/make it more difficult. This helps to remove the “bots aren’t affecred debate” and ISK sink
  2. Make existing NPC sites more rewarding by adding new mini-escalations where gates to random room types spawn with higher value drops (makes it worth the extra time/effort)

Are you serious? Why would they add more or advanced content that would be rewarding for active or risky gameplay, when they can just gut out current mechanics?

Find a minigame that is fun the millionth time you play it and doesn’t force you to ignore your surroundings.

While we all want this you do understand the difference in scope right?

As someone who has been manually targeting NPCs with drones since I started playing this game I don’t mind this change. EVE needs less afk friendly game play in general.

You realize this does nothing to combat bots, right?

Bots already know how to auto target and press F. All this does is make it more tedious for players to afk this dumb ■■■■ boring anom content lol.

Sounds good unless it makes another glitch.

Devs once patched normal NPCs to change their targets like Sleepers, by giving some tendencies to attack certain size of drones. This rarely worked and two glitches haven’t been fixed.

Those remaining glitches are 1) rats not attacking drones at all (which enables AFK ratting), and 2) the entire rats on grid vollying drones, ignoring their designed tendencies (e.g., battleship attacking light drones). The latter can be “fixed” by the leave-board ship shenanigan, making the glitched state 1.

In that case, change how mining lasers work too? Auto cycling should be removed for mining lasers and you should “be at your keyboard actively playing if you want to make isk, not afk with 1 input every 30 mins”.

Это не борьба с ботами а повод честным игрокам перейти на бота.
