Upcoming Changes to Drone Aggression

Hey, this makes me wonder.

Can you make a list of those, based on the type of replies?
Automatically, I mean.

We need that AI sentiment system.

I’ve been looking through the posts.
I don’t see clear patterns to look for.

What about the Likes?

completely true!

Step 1. Removal of Auto Aggression makes ratting in general harder, which results in Reduced income in general (drone boats no longer viable for semi AFK)
Step 2. Less ISK in Null Alliances
Step 3. SRP programs get removed/Big ships can no longer be tossed around
Step 4. Alliances become more strategic with the ISK they do have, so less “lets just throw it at the meat grinder”
Step 5. Eve Never breaks their record for largest online fleet battles.
Step 6. Media no longer makes articles about eve breaking records for the largest online fleet battles. Example that made me start playing
Step 7. Less general coverage means less people being aware that the game even exists.
Step 8. Less awareness of the game, means less new players.

They didn’t say that they made this change in order to stop bots. Either you need to work on your reading comprehension skills, or you are intentionally twisting their motivations in order to make them seem as stupid as possible.

I hate the thought of bots devaluing our time as much as anyone, but after bots are rewritten to nullify this change, human players are going to be left with lots more clicking.

This change makes the game worse for human players, not bots.

Rethink.

This change makes the game worse for human players who act more like bots than humans.
Drone-auto-aggro against NPCs only benefits those who don’t want to play.

"■■■■ those guys."
        -- CCP, probably

Gotta say … I agree. vOv

This is animal cruelty, you made my :snake: sad, jk tbh thnx to running incursions I’m used to passive mode anyways so it’s whatever.

Wrong, totally wrong, drones mopping up trash whilst main guns blast through the chunky stuff in a mission for example.

You may consider running missions to be bot like behaviour, but what you consider is too subjective to be worth considering and not in the scope of what’s being considered.

Ratting 23/7 is the bot like behaviour being targeted and will be unaffected much sooner rather than later, human players being negatively affected.

This is a flat out bad change.

The carrot coming to Null sec must be the juiciest, sweetest and most plump carrot imaginable. It’s going to need to be glorious, because right now:

Null mining nerf
Null ESS / DBS nerf
Ratting made attentive (because it’s super compelling gameplay right?!)

Where is the value in Null? Just not seeing it.

Wormholes have t3, blue loot, best PI, interesting anoms which can make up to 1b/hour with a single account
High/Low have best ore, minor victory content, t5 missions
High has best incursions, best place to run Abyssals, t4 missions, burner missions

There’s nothing unique or interesting about Null and ratting is just going to be painful now. You really don’t want people to pay attention to ratting, there are better games on the market which provide more engaging activities!

I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing …
… please help me making sure of it.

Removal of drone-auto-aggro means that drones don’t automatically aggress attacking NPCs. That’s pretty much correct.
So without auto-aggro, players have to do it manually. I’m sure that’s also correct, no?

CCP removes automaticity and demands from you to deal with the NPCs all by yourself.
What exactly is wrong about the above?

I don’t care if you look like a bot, or not.
When you benefit from automaticity, you benefit from not playing the game.

I understand that there’ various different situations, but there’s also situations where you don’t need to interact with the game at all, because auto-aggro deals with all the NPCs anyway. Saw orcas sitting in COSMOS sites farming them endlessly, exactly because of this. They were doing it “legally”, of course, but it’s nonetheless a completely ■■■■■■ up thing to do.

So …

If you can’t handle the game without automaticity helping you …
… maybe you’re doing it wrong?

The incredibly low amount of ratting I have ever done has been 100% afk droneboating due to the extreme dullness of ratting.

But as I said, I rat so rarely that this won´t affect me, so you missed again in your efforts to kick me from the game CCP! Ha!

But I fear that this time you have kicked out a good other chhunk, tho. My prediction is that you will step back when you see the abyss in player connections, just like in blackout.

There’s a whole year worth of changes kicking farmers and carebears in the balls …
… and these people have been saying the exact same things ever since BlackOut.

There’s not only zero evidence …
… there’s also absolutely no indication …
… of CCP kicking carebears and farmers into the balls being a problem.

They’ve been doing it every single ■■■■■■■ month and the log-in statistics didn’t ■■■■■■■ budge at all.

You actually have to tell the drones to mine already, it’s not auto

Wrong, Low has the best incursions.

Wrong, Deep Sov null or fortified WH are the best place for Abyssals, High you get gankers.

Ohhhhh, level 4 missions, so amazing!
Oh but wait, low & npc null get those too and they earn far more and the Lp are worth far more as well.

You really don’t show you have a clue.

I like how they all use “it’s boring” as excuse …
… showing that they literally have no other excuse.

Is it boring? Sure it is! Not denying that!
Could they be doing something else that’s more fun? Absolutely!

I believe his “best” is related to “safety”,
which in highsec is not as good as in null, but it’s still safer than lowsec.

I get it, I really do, you’re trying to play forum warrior by inserting your own ego into the subject and not addressing the things being changed and the reasons why.

The reason CCP gave is to deal with botting, not any of those offered by yourself.

Not people acting like bots.
Not people not arse-moding the game to your preferred level.

This change will only affect people at their computer by making them do far more user input than they are already doing.

It won’t affect bots.

CCP, you really need to reconsider this change which can only possibly step on players toes and leave the bots with even more of an advantage.

This change makes players act more like bots.
According to morons, it’s a good thing.

It’s not my ego, it’s your ego.

I’m not the one complaining about how CCP is removing something that’s making it easier for me to farm.

You are. You are defending your ability to not pay attention to all the things. Vehemently.
You are defending other people’s ability to afk farm NPCs endlessly.

Yes. That’s a good thing.

No one cares about this.
This isn’t being implemented to hunt bots.

It’s implemented to stop bot-like behaviour done by humans, **
like Orcas sitting in COSMOS sites farming the NPCs endlessly.

Sorry if I accidentially caused a confusion/misunderstanding there.

**(well, and obviously to reduce overall influx of ISK, yet again …
… and to get rid of certain types of people, apparently)
