I request to be forced in game to fullfill a captcha “because im hijacked” every time i get dampened or jammered
have you forth about the new players or just old players that had some fun afk rat and talk to friends, but now need to be a lot more focused on the game and not just chill and have fun tho i will say its from a crappers perspectiv.
then lets say you are a bot what is it to the bot that it needs to press f a few times ? or not press f it doesent matter to the bot it does what it needs to do but you just nerfed aktiv players insted the players that had multibul accounts and played on them but the bots gets changed to press f every 10 sec insted of once or 2 per sigts and the old player now cant play on more account because he neededs to be aktivliy tapping f.
i would not say this is hitting the right spot at any point i loved the ess even tho im a crapper but this is just not the way to do it to take auto fire away from crapping you make missions and normal sights a lot harder for no reason but cant you not just change so the sights have accelerations gates or something that makes the play need to move or anything insted of taking auto fire from the dronce that was ■■■■ to start with
What are you trying to say?
Im going to ask for refund to the makers of all my drones because their firmware have been downgraded. They didnt fullfill my expectations.
arent you a special snowflake.
I guess this is where the discussion started.
We already raised the point if this drone behavior change should also be applied to PvP in order to homogenize the whole system, instead of making it behave differently in different situations.
Of course, we can argue about other areas of the game that behave differently for PvE and PvP, like CONCORD coming to shoot any player that aggresses you, but not bothering to deal withany pirate NPCs that roam the system, and if that makes sense of not, or if it just works like that due to gameplay reasons.
The main real concern about drones losing the auto-attack feature is counters to ECM stacking, with both jamming and dampeners, but that only points out that ECM stacking is the issue, and not drones losing their aggressive mode for NPCs.
If you are using Retrievers and an Orca, then I can only assume you are mining in High Sec.
High Sec belt rats offer zero to no threat to mining barges in those 10 to 20 secs it would take you to lock them up and shoot them down with your Orca.
If it’s about being able to be semi-AFK mining and not worrying about NPCs, you can simply switch the two Retrievers for Procurers, as no rat will be able to make a dent in their tanks, no matter how many hours they spent on attacking them.
There’s no need to talk about the Orca’s tank when it comes to NPC rats damage.
Congratulations! You’ve been trying for years to break ratting, and you’ve finally done it. Now ratting will be an activity ONLY available to botters. They just update their code, and those of us who were actually in front of the computer get their game broken. Maybe I’ll just start botting since that is clearly the only form of income you don’t care about.
Yes! That damned CCP team!
They broke into my house while I was asleep and broke the F key in my keyboard!
Now I have to use third party programs to command my drones, as it’s impossible to play otherwise!
When will we, the legitimate AFK players, be given justice for their actions!!?
/sarcasm
Yeah it does
Fan bois
As usual
Still say it sucks. CCP is all stick and no carrot lately
Not much of a reader/critical thinker are you? This change does literally NOTHING to address actual afk ratting.
But it did. You can no longer afk rat with drones.
Please explain.
LOL yes you absolutely can. All it takes is minor changes to the botting code. The bot programs were already programed to lock and primary small ships, so it isn’t much of a change at all really.
Ah, so you’re talking about something else entirely.
Well, you will be glad to know that CCP did not implement this change to fight bots.
They implemented it to fight against low-attention gameplay.
AFK is not the same as “low-attention”. Are you aware of what “AFK” stands for? Your previous statements indicate you don’t.
Are they literally the same in definition? Obviously not.
But at this point, you’re just trying to argue technical definitions of words, rather than what CCP intended with this change. If you want to talk semantics, go take it up with CCP and tell them that they should have worded their change better. Because it seems like the only real issue you have is with the word CCP used, rather than any substantive matter.
You’re the one who suggested that this change had the intended effect of stopping AFK ratting when in reality it did no such thing.
But… it did? Can you show me an example whether AFK ratting is still possible with drones?
Or are you using a personal definition of afk ratting that no one else in EVE Online uses?
